Xbox One Used Games Rant

I have already talk about the Xbox One since two days ago but there is a one thing I haven't talk about is the biggest flaws that lets the Xbox fans down.
According to gaming websites said that Microsoft will not allow second hand games to be played on Xbox One which requires Xbox live users to pay fees to unlock second hand games.
I say it's a bad ideas by Microsoft that going to ruin the new console but I did like the hardware specs on system and the new controller which is cool but I dislike Kinect should not be made because it's a bad motions controls just like the X360 counterpart.
Back to used games rant, I know Microsoft is making unfair to every gamers that the second hand games won't able to play any Xbox One system, if the game is owned by one person only.
It's harder for people to buy games from retail shop or borrowing game from your friends to play on your own system but it's not gonna work, if you put the used games on your system, then the message appears and says that you have to pay the fees to play second hand games which means you have to pay the god damn games for like £32 fees which you didn't want to because you already brought it from the fricken game shop for like £12 or £15. Way a go Microsoft, you're a idiot.
I can't believe that the Microsoft will destroy the eighth generation console, if it's unable to play any used games for free which means nobody will ever buy Xbox One at all, thats gonna suck for not playing used games for free.

So if you have any question about the flaws of the Xbox One, please give comment below.

Thanks for listening on my blog and I'll make my new blog soon and see you next time.

Xbox One Announcement impressions

I've just watched the live event videos on May 21st and what can I say, lets talk about the new Xbox consoles announcements.
Microsoft was introducing the upcoming third home console called Xbox One which is the eighth generation consoles. It does have a good points on live events but some of few bad stuff that never impress me much but lets talk about the console itself. The console design is pretty much fascinating with cool looking black squared shape on top and rectangle shape on front of the console is look pretty awesome. The console itself has impressive technical specs which features 500GB Hard Drive, Blu-Ray Disc Drive, HDMI In/Output, USB 3.0, 802.11 wireless with wi-fi direct, 8GB DRAM, 32MB ESRAM, 8 cores for CPU, and Direct3D 11 for GPU which improves the performance of the Xbox One hardware system. The controller is like the previous X360 controller but slightly different design. It has a same buttons layout but has curved analog stick and reshape d-pad button. It features 16% longer battery life and built in rumble system on triggers which is pretty cool for new controller to have impulse triggers. Xbox One will have instant access to movies, live TV, music, and web browser though media - inter-connectivity. Set-top box is also featured on this console which the Xbox One can pass the cable box signal through the HDMI which allowing console to overlay a UI and feature on top of an existing TV channel. This console has voice commands which allows users to control Xbox functions for example:

  • If you want to watch TV, all you have to say is "Xbox, take me to TV" and it takes you to TV channel.
  • If you want to answer call to your friends on Skype, just say "Xbox, turn on answer call" and it will turn on the answer phone.
  • If you want to go internet browser, say "Xbox, go on internet browser" and it takes you to internet browser.
I say the voice command functions are sounds ok'ay and I'm don't like the new Kinect which is pretty lame and feels quite the same thing as the 360's Kinect but It's the updated version. New Kinect conteins 1080p camera and new motion control would process 2GB of data per second. I've heard the Microsoft will announce the video projector technology called illumiroom which allows the gameplay screen to extend the size of the screen which is going to be bigger than the HDTV screen size which I don't think it's a good idea for new console but It would have been play better on the actual HDTV. The Xbox One will feature the operating system which allow to run the three devices such as Xbox OS, Windows Kernel, and another OS which is sounds awesome to have and however it will not run standard Windows apps which is shame but it would been nice to have. The Xbox Live will holds the 300,000 servers for Xbox One users which is going to be bigger severs than the 15,000 for Xbox 360 users. It will includes the cloud services that allows users to store musics, movies, and saved content which is pretty cool idea from Microsoft.
There are some of the games has been announced that the game developers like to bring their games on Xbox One such as: Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, Call of Duty: Ghost, Quantum Break, Thief, Forza Motorsport 5, and Watch Dogs will be available soon. I don't think Xbox One will be played original Xbox and X360 compatibility which Microsoft haven't confirm it yet but i'm sure they are bring the old game to Xbox Live as the downloadable games.

UPDATE 27/08/2015:

I've added the link down below for anyone to see my rant on Xbox One DRM. The reason why I had to include these links is because I haven't mention the Xbox One DRM on this blog that already published on 21/05/2013, so I had to make another blog of my rant on Xbox One Used Games Rant and Microsoft drops DRM from Xbox One. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune PS3 Review

I have already reviewed the Uncharted: Golden Abyss for PS Vita since last year and I decided to get a original Uncharted game for my PS3.
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is a original PS3 adventures games which developed by Naughty Dog and published by SCEA.
The story takes place in South America. The treasure hunter Nathan Drake seeks to search a lost treasures in amazon, along with Elena Fisher as the journalist and his mentor Victor Sullivan came to help him to find and discover the El Dorado's lost treasure, before they have to defend themselves from the troubles of members of pirates who wanted the treasures from them.
The gameplay comes with the combination of 3D platforming and third person perspective. You're controlling as Nathan Drake who can able to climb walls, rope and ladders, and jumping from the different platforms. The combat system is outstanding, you can able to shoot bad guys while take aim, running and hanging on higher objects. You can use cover position or dodging to avoid taking damaging from the bullets.
You can attack them with fist as well. If you make a brutal combo which gives you a stronger attack, and you may also can sneak up to them by using the stealth attack. The weapons are pretty great with shooting range and accurate shot, depends what weapons you have selected. This controls also features the sixaxis motion sensitivity which is used for balancing when walking on short gap and targeting to throw grenades by tilting the controller which is pretty well done. The puzzles is very challenging to solve problem when figuring out to open the hidden doors or passage.
The graphics are one of the best so far with excellent design, cinematic animation, outstanding visuals and better character's AI which makes the game more realistic and entertaining.
The music and sounds has the best music score so far and has the magnificent sound effects and voice acting which stands out the game perfectly.
The special features has unlockable stuff like gallery which has cutscenes, concept arts and developers videos. It also features a bonus stuff like collection of treasures which can be found somewhere in the levels to collect 60 treasures, and It has trophy support to achieve the rewards as well.

Advantages

Excellent storyplot and characters.

Fantastic gameplay.

Realistic graphics.

Cinematic cutscenes.

Awesome music and sounds.

Cool to collect treasures.

Disadvantages

You may get confused, if you don't know where to go.

Bad guys can be tough to kill.

Final Verdict

Here is my conclusion.

Gameplay 9.5/10 - Fantastic gameplay gives you a better combat system, character's abilities and challenging levels.

Graphics 9.6/10 - Realistic graphics is perfect for cinematic animation, excellent design, outstanding visuals and fantastic character's AI.

Music and sounds 10/10 - Best music score so far, and awesome sound effects and voice acting.

Special Features 8.9/10 - This games offers you a unlockable gallery with videos and pictures, trophy rewards and collecting 60 treasures.

Overall 9.5/10 - By far it's the most epic and awesomeness adventure games ever on PS3. It's definitely recommended for every gamers that should enjoy this game with exciting experinces and you have to must buy this.

Shadows of the Damned PS3 Review

If you enjoy Suda51 games like No more Heroes, Lollipop Chainsaw and Killer 7, you may also like Shadows of the Damned as the Survival Horror games for PS3 and X360. It was developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and published by Electronic Arts.
The story is about the demon hunter Garcia Hotspur comes home to find his girlfriend Paula who been kidnapped by Fleming the Lord of Demons. Garcia tried to stop Fleming escape inside the portal which takes him to deadly underworld along with his sidekick Johnson the Skull head who can transform the gun, torch and motorcycle. Garcia has to fight off the demon to get his girlfriend back where she came from.
The gameplay is played decent well on third person perspective which can be handled like Shinji Mikami's games such as Resident Evil 4. The control scheme is pretty good for main character's movement which he can able to dodge, run and even melee attack by hitting the monster with torch or stun them with light bullet. The weapons are cool, you got 3 choice of weapons like pistol, shotgun and machinegun to use but you can upgrade them to improve the weapon performance when collecting red gem from somewhere abouts to be found or get it from big monster lad named Christopher who sells the goods, and after beating boss gives you blue gems which add-ons the weapons features for example: Pistol has bomb attachment which you can shoot out the sticky bomb on objects or even monsters, then shoot it with normal bullet that can explodes both the objects and monsters. Shotgun can shoot with 4 rounds bullet and grenade. Machine Gun can shoots tons of bullets which attempts the bullets flying around when the targeting goes red while aiming at the monsters. You can also upgrade the health and torch as well to improve the character's abilities. The puzzle is not that hard to solve the problem once you get used to with some levels, but you may not have a map to find the waypoint which is quite shame. I felt the game is quite short which only has 5 acts to complete, so it would have been awesome to have more acts to enjoy the campaign, but it is still fun to enjoy the game.
The graphics are look great with nice visuals, designs and animations which is running on Unreal Engine 3 is pretty look well done.
The music and sound is good as well, the music is composed by Akira Yamaoka as one of the Silent Hill composer did a remarkable job in this game. The sound effects are decent with good sound design and backgrounds. The voice acting are did a pretty good for characters cast.
The special features only has trophy support but lack of chapters select, new game plus, survival mode and theres only one unlockable stuff like very hard difficulty mode which is disappointing but it did have 2D side-scroller bonus stage which is fun to play but it was supposed to be unlockable features on menu screen as well.

Advantages

Good characters and story.

Decent Gameplay.

Great Graphics.

Decent Music and sounds.

Funny moments.

Disadvantages

The game is too short.

No map screen been featured.

Lack of some special features.

Final Verdict

Here is my final opinion.

Gameplay 7/10 - Decent controls is fairly played good.

Graphics 8.5/10 - Nice visuals, designs and animations.

Music and sounds 7/10 - Remarkable music, decent sound effects and good voice casting for characters.

Special Features 3.1/10 - Only got trophy support but lacks chapter select, new game plus, survival mode and only one unlockable stuff like very hard difficulty mode is not fricken enough.

Overall 7/10 - It's a decent horror game for PS3 and X360. It's still the fun game to play with good characters and interesting storyplot is definitely worth to buy this for Suda 51 fans.

Okami HD PS3 Digital Download Review

Capcom has brought the underrated classics games to the Playstation store. Okami was originally released on PS2 which is developed by Clover Studios who is best known for Viewiful Joe series. It's the last PS2 games for release in 2006 just before the console release of the seventh generation console PS3 in 2007. It received critical acclaim from critics which gives Okami the best overall score calling best adventures games ever in 2006. Unfortunely the Clover Studios did a poor job for game sales which sold less than the 200,000 copies which causes the developers declaring to shut down their studios in March 2007. In 2008, Capcom decided to port the original PS2 game for Nintendo Wii which is ported by developer company Ready at Dawn which is aiming for Wii gamers to increasing more attention to make it sold much better than the PS2 version sales but it still became least selling game in 2009. Capcom also ported the HD version of original PS2 which ported by Hexa Drive for PS3 version which is available on Playstation Store in October 2012.

Okami HD is a open world adventure game on PS3 which conteins HD scaling runs up to 1080p with clean visuals and better animations performance. It also supports the Playstation Move peripheral and trophy achievements.
This game is based on Japanese myths, legends and folklore and the story is about after the events 100 years ago, there is unknown man, who does not believe the legends, accidently took off the sword which prevents Orochi spreading the darkness on the lands of Nippon. Sakuya the guardian of Kamiki Village summons the Sun goddess wolf named Amaterasu to commanding her to restore the land to save a villagers from the Orochi with the help of tiny friend Issun to help Amaterasu.
The gameplay is simple, it's just like the Nintendo's adventure game such as Legend of Zelda which you can able to explore the world, buying items from shop, and talking to people conversations. The brush techinques are pretty interesting, you can draw something cool to perform the miracles which is very creative on this game but sometimes it may be unresponsive when trying to draw the right shapes of artwork to get the miracles working during the gameplay but maybe you will get used to it when learning to practice the brush techniques. The battle gameplay is pretty outstanding, the weapons are just the straight forward items with good attack systems and you may also change weapons from items menu. You can upgrade the character's health, ink, pouch and money bag to improve both abilities and limitations space. The puzzle is'nt hard to solve problems, you may find the game little fraustraighting but still worth challenging with fantastic levels.
The graphics is just how nice and beautiful with cel-shaded animation and watercolor style which is to make it look like Japanese ink washing animated with best looking character design, backgrounds, texures and visuals.
The music and sounds are perfectly well done. It's has the best Japanese culture music with emotions and joyful. The sound effects are excellent while the voice dialog lacks the actual English or Japanese speaking but instead ends up with gibberish voices but you get to understand by reading the text on bottom.
The special features comes with PS Move support, Trophy achievements and unlockable stuff.

Advantages

Outstanding gameplay

Fantastic Graphics

Brilliant Music

Interesting storyplot and characters

Disadvantages

Brush techniques issues

Lacks of actual voice acting

Final Verdict

Could it be a best adventure games yet?

Here is my bottom line.

Gameplay 9.5/10 - Outstanding controls for open world area, battle fight and puzzle solving.

Graphics 10/10 - Best looking graphics with cel shaded animation made of watercolor style.

Music and sound 9.9/10 - Brilliant music score and excellent sound effects.

Special Features 9.4/10 - PS Move support, trophy achievements and unlockable stuff.

Overall 9.7/10 - Okami HD is the epic and most fun adventure games for PS3. Too bad It did not appeal well to RPG gamers which the game didn't gain much attention. This game is definitely must buy for PS3 gamers while others who own PS2 or Wii should stick with original version.
Okami HD deserves to be the best open world adventures games of all times.
