Sony is about to introducing their upcoming console called Playstation 4 which is a Sony's forth home console for a eighth generation consoles.
I've just watched the video footage of press conference on February 20th and what can I say, It has a some exciting announcements that Sony is going to make a most powerful console in eighth generation.
The console is not yet been revealed but Sony has a own unique ideas to make technical specification for PS4 which features AMD x84 for CPU and AMD Radeon for GPU which is slightly more powerful than a PC gaming graphics.
The system will be included the optical drive will read Blu ray at x6 and DVD at x8. A hard drive will be included soon. It also features with Network connectivity is also supported with 802.11, USB 3.0, Bluetooth 2.1 and HDMI Output.
Sony have also revealed the new controller called DualShock 4 which is similar to previous controller but features more. It has a two point touchpad on front of the controller and supports motion detection with three axis gyroscope and accelerometer including vibration. The lightbar is on top of the controller which can display the different colors. It still has a Micro USB port which you can able to recharge the controller. The mono speakers is supported on centrer of the controller. The following buttons has a same layouts as previous controller but added the 2 buttons such as options buttons which replaces start and select buttons. share buttons will allow gamers to upload the video through their gameplay experiences.
The Playstation 4 eye and Remote play is also revealed as well and the Playstation move is also compatible for PS4.
The user's interface is now revamped with a new design which is similar to new Playstation store user interface.
It will have downloadable games through PSN, social features and third party services such as Netfilx and Amazon Instant Video. PS4 lacks of backward compatibly which you won't able to play any PS1, PS2 and PS3 game disks, while it's lacks backwards compatibly It also planned to bring PS1, PS2 and PS3 through cloud based streaming services via Gaikai is been already purchased by Sony.
The games is been announced in press conference that the many game developers will like to bring their games running on PS4 like Killzone: Shadow Fall, Infamous: Second Son, Destiny, Knack, Watch Dogs, The Witness, Deep Down, Driveclub and Dlablo 3 will be confirmed for PS4.
I say it's a interesting concept and sounds pretty cool when Sony came up with new things.
