Top 5 Racing Games

Racing games is a spectacular video game genres for gaming industry. I've been playing so much fun with racing games that have awesome racing cars to drive around the track, head to finishing line, and win the championship, so that's what the racing games is about.
There are bunch of great racing games library out there to choose from since our retro gaming days to modern racing games.

I'm going to pick out my 5 favourite racing games that really deserves to be greatest racing games of all time, so here is my Top 5 Racing Games.

5 - Daytona USA

Daytona USA is a arcade racing classic by SEGA. The arcade version was released in 1994 and it is the first SEGA's racing games that made the debut of SEGA Model 2 with very detailed 3D system.
This game gets really attention from racing fans from the 90's and demanding SEGA to port it from arcade to home consoles, such as SEGA Saturn was released in 1995, while Championship Circuit Edition was later released in 1996. It was later released on SEGA Dreamcast as remake in 2001 and was re-releasing on PSN and XBLA in 2011.

Daytona USA is a fantastic game for the arcade version, which comes with 3 tracks to select with and it felt very challenging to complete against 40 cars in the gameplay is just simple straightforward arcade game. While the SEGA Saturn version did have slow gameplay framerate and downgraded graphics aren't good as the original arcade counterpart, but still an okay version. The Championship Circuit Edition is the updated version for Saturn did have better overall improvements over the original version because it has new cars and track, 2-players battle, and better frame rate makes better gameplay performance.
Dreamcast version is one of my favourite version is because it took advantages of running on same 60fps as arcade version, better graphics design, 3 new tracks, championship mode, and gameplay feels like playing arcade version makes the Dreamcast version more faithful to original arcade version.

This game have fluid driving controls, nicely made track design, fairly challenged game with 40 cars to beat the race makes the game worth playing.

4 - SEGA Rally Championship

In 1994, SEGA Rally Championship is the finest racing games for the arcade system and it is one of the milestone of early rally racing game that defines the genre. I really enjoyed sitting on the arcade system with racing seat, steering wheels, gear shift, and foot pedals that makes me want to drive around the track is one hell of the fun.

It was also released for SEGA Saturn in 1995 and it is the best rally racing game for Saturn, which has 2 player battle and time attack mode.

The gameplay works really well with basic controller or steering wheels, which allowing driving controls feels responsive and easy to control with. The graphics are looking amazing for Saturn 3D games are fairly closer to arcade counterpart. What makes the game even more fun is the 2 player battle is a great addition to Saturn version makes it the most updated racing game on SEGA Saturn library.

3 - Ridge Racer

It's Ridge Racer, RIDGEEEEE RACER!!!

Remember this game in 1994, when it was came out for arcade systems and it was later released for PS1 in 1995.

Ridge Racer is one of the the PS1's biggest racing game that got really hyped for 32 bit console era and it shows what the PS1 could able to handle the 3D arcade ports seems really damn impressive in 90's.

The PS1 version offers the 4 course modes, music player, and car select are the decent addition to the game.

This game has superb drifting controls, arcade style gameplay, amazing 3D graphics, and quality soundtrack that keeps you playing this game. While this game were praised by video game critics and fans, they are later making a sequel for later consoles is due to success of the first game that made the whole series so popular.

2 - Mario Kart 64

I love the Super Mario Kart on SNES, but this game is so amazing on N64.

All you have to do is drive around, throw things, use special items, avoid objects, and head to finishing line is what makes Mario Kart 64 so epic to play.

Mario Kart 64 is a go-kart racing game for Nintendo 64 and it is one of the second best-selling N64 games in worldwide.

This game has 16 wacky stages with the variety of levels, more game modes to play with, playing as beloved Nintendo mascot Mario and other characters, and 4 battle courses are featured in the game.

It has better driving controls, impressive multiplayer with versus and battle mode, and epic level stages that takes a lot of improvements from the original game for SNES.
I really enjoyed the 4 of the grand prix mode are very enjoyable to play and I say the battle mode are the best part of the game that makes the multiplayer so spectacular for N64 racing game.

1 - F-Zero X

Nintendo made another famous racing game for N64 is F-Zero X, which is sequel to the classic original game called F-Zero for SNES.

This game is one hell of the fastest racing games of all times with so many speed of the gameplay overall, craziest track to choose from, more futuristic vehicles to select with, five grand prix modes, and death race that keeps the game so intense and fun to play it on N64.

It has precised driving controls, great variety of gameplay with unique level design and ability to use speed boost that makes the gameplay fast paced and well challenged for the N64 game.

This game also has kick ass Thrash Metal style of music well made by 2 of the Japanese composer, awesome characters like Captain Falcon and others, brilliant vehicle design, and it has the best game overall so far and it is my favourite racing game ever made on my list.

Dead Space: Extraction PS3 Digital Download Review

Dead Space: Extraction is a Sci-Fi Horror Rail-Shooter for PS3 and Wii, developed by Visceral Games, and published by Electronic Arts.
It is the spin-off games of the series and prequel to original 2008 game called Dead Space, which already came out on year 2008 before this game came year later on 2009.

This game is spectacularly amazing with fluid gameplay controls, great horror environments, superb graphics, and it has great scare factor of the game's overall atmosphere puts this game so much fun to play. I haven't tried the original Wii version because I wanted to get the PS3 version to have experience with the use of Playstation Move controller, so do you think the PS3 version is good as the original version? Yes, this version offers graphical enhancements running on HD, using the two different controllers like Dualshock 3 and PS Move, and it is closer to Wii counterpart except the bonus material are included on Wii version only.

Presentation

This game takes place before the events of original Dead Space, the story starts with the groups of miners are helping to experimenting on the Red Marker, which causing to have disturbing side-effects on rest of the crews and respawning the deadly monsters known as Necromorphs. A week later, Nathan McNeil and Gabriel Weller, who are P-Sec Squad members, has the mission to survive themselves and protecting the woman named Lexine Murdoch from Necromorphs during the attack on Headquarters.

I say the story is somewhat sound good as the original game because having the backstory of the game is showing what was happening on the whole story that involves attacking and scaring people in space.
I like how Lexine Murdoch wanted to know what's going on after she learned her death of boyfriend Sam Caldwell was killed at the start of the story is due to Red Marker that causing to regenerates more monsters and giving too much visions on their head.
The story worked very well with so much backstories, discoving audio logs to learn more useful information, great story dialogue, and of course the characters are decent, but they aren't good as the characters from Main series of the game, such as Dead Space 1, 2 and 3.

Gameplay

The gameplay plays really well with the PS Move controller because of the variety of the control allows the weapon handles very well with basic fire, fast reloading and you can twist your PS Move sideways for alternative fire making the different gun firing so much easier to kill enemies.
You can use stasis to slow down the objects and enemies and Kinesis is used for picking items, pushing and pulling the objects, and throwing things including projectiles at the enemies are the coolest things in the game.
You can use melee attack by using the melee weapons on enemies or objects by swinging Navigation controller or PS Move itself and of course you can shake off the enemies by swinging controller as well to avoid getting damage.
The camera control are useful for moving the camera around to look for useful items and weapons during the time limit.
The weapons can be upgraded by picking the power nodes somewhere from the level making the weapon more powerful with better firing accuracy and increasing level rate.

I really enjoyed the game atmosphere with excellent boss level, has great action of the game, some scary moments, zero gravity stages, and it's darker and sinister of the game environments makes the game pretty straight forward in the right positions of the gameplay quality.

Graphics

I say the PS3 version has improved the visuals effects, backgrounds layouts, and running with HD makes the graphics look suitable for HD consoles than the Wii version. The animations has great level design, superb character models, and has the darker environments with less lighting, dimmed brightness and gritty sets of the game makes it look creeper and scary that fits really good on this game.

Overall, the graphics are pretty good so far with HD updates shows the PS3 version takes more advantages over the original Wii version.

Music and Sounds

I say the game has really fantastic music and sounds because it has horror ambient with scarier background sounds and frightening soundtrack really fits great in the game, and of course the sound effects is quite disturbing as well because of how creepy the enemies would sounded like in the game.
The voice acting are pretty sounds good for the characters with suitable voices and simple character dialogue with extra expressions shows what the characters are acted like in the game makes lot more sense that puts the game presentation sounded so good with great voice cast.

Special Features

This game has 10 challenge mode, trophy support and collecting audio logs, but I've heard the Wii version has bonus content, which the PS3 version have lacked of having bonus content, which is quite a shame that the PS3 version didn't have one.

Advantages

Fluid Gameplay

Good Graphics

Decent Presentation

Horrific Music and sounds

Disadvantages

Bonus material are not included on PS3 version

Melee weapons and Rivet gun are the weakest weapons in the game

Final Verdict

Presentation 8/10 - Great backstory, good dialogue, and decent characters.

Gameplay 8/10 - Fluid controls, great weapons, fun factor levels, and excellent boss levels.

Graphics 8.5/10 - Improved visual effects and backgrounds layouts, level design, superb character models, darker environments are looked fantastic on HD gaming.

Music and Sounds 8.5/10 - Well made horror ambient, creepy sound effects, and decent voice acting.

Special Features 5/10 - 10 challenge mode, trophy support and collecting audio logs, but lacked of bonus materials from Wii version.

Overall 8/10 - Dead Space: Extraction is a magnificent Sci-Fi Horror Rail-Shooter game by Visceral Game puts the game overall so entertaining, which offers fantastic scare factors of the game has lots more scary atmosphere, great storyplot makes the story sound good, and gameplay works very well that the game took advantage of using PS Move giving the overall experience so fun to play with, so if you're the fan of the rail-shooter games then buy this game for Wii version, if you prefer to get physical copy of the game. If you wanted to play PS3 version then you can get it by downloading the game from PS Store or it is also included on Dead Space 2 Limited Edition.

Finally got my PS4 (Breaking News)

Breaking news everyone, I've finally got the PS4 from Tesco for great sales, so I've bought it for £279 because there's the discount sales on Tesco, which the PS4 was cost £350 and it is now £300, so I've asked my brother to use the £20 off discount code, which drops to £279 is definitely worth saving £70.

The reason why I bought it is because it's comes with the consoles and the free game "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt", which the game won't come out till 19th of May as the game release date, so I had to pick up the PS4 console and free game in cheaper price.

I'm not gonna use PS4 yet because I'll keep my PS4 in my room and wait till on summer holidays, which my birthday starts on July.

I can't wait to get some of the awesome games out there, like Alien Isolation, The Evil Within, Far Cry 4, Mortal Kombat X, Killzone: Shadow Fall, Infamous Second Son, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, DragonBall Xenovise, Driveclub, and plenty more games to play with.

So I'm glad I've got the PS4 and I'll make another blog of "5 or 10 reason why I want PS4" soon.

Top 10 PS3 Games

Introduction

As you know the SONY made such a great consoles like PS1 and PS2 are the prime examples of being the greatest consoles of 90’s to 2000’s, but what about PS3?
yes, it deserves to be amazing game console on seventh generation era with tons of fantastic exclusives games that defines PS3.

I had such a good experience on this modern gaming console by playing games online, earning trophies achievements, downloading stuff from PS Store, watching stream services or Blu Ray, and so on.

I’m going to make my top 10 favourite PS3 games of all times.

10 - Wipeout HD

Wipeout HD is a futuristic racing game for PS3 only, so this game borrows the similar level tracks and vehicles from the previous instalment, but it also runs 60 fps, 1080p render, and using Dolby Surround 5.1 for sound quality.

The gameplay is well balanced with precise driving controls, awesome track stages, five types modes with single race, tournament, speed lap, time trial, and zone mode brings the brilliant features of the game.
It also has fantastic multiplayer matches with split screen or online battle to challenge your friends through the race battle.

The graphics is nice and crispy with superb HD quality running in 1080p, smooth animation, and some great special effects with colourful lighting and backgrounds.

This game is available on PlayStation Store or you could get physical version of “Wipeout Fury” from any store from online or physical retail store.

9 - Infamous 2

Infamous 2 is the open world action game, developed by Sucker Punch Productions, who are well known for Sly Cooper series.

I find this sequel played lot better than the first game because this game offers more variety of gameplay, such as better single player campaign, more side missions, better gameplay mechanics with slightly improved character’s ability and better power-ups upgrades making the gameplay more refreshing and fun to play.

The story development has brilliant dialogue, interesting plot, cinematic flicks, and having awesome presentation overall is worth for playing this game.

8 - Resistance: Fall of Man

Resistance: Fall of Man is the great FPS game for PS3 launch title since 2007.

Insomniac Games, who are well known for Ratchet and Clank series, made such a superb game for PS3 system because this game has intense single player campaign with in-depth story plot, great gameplay campaign with awesome variety of weapons and levels, impressive enemies concepts, well challenging missions objectives, and innovative multiplayer battles that keeps the game so entertaining to play.

If you love playing FPS games then this game is definitely recommended for PS3 owners.

7 - Gran Turismo 5

A classic franchises of 90’s brought a fantastic sequel comes to PS3 systems.

I really enjoyed some of the modes in the game, like single player race, 2P split screen battle, time trial, and tour mode that keeps the game up to date.

6 - Killzone 3

Killzone 3 is the best FPS game on PS3 library. I’m impressed with the second game for PS3 has improved a lot over the first game that was released for PS2 in 2004.

I find the third installiment played better because it’s showing what the PS3 was capable of handles such a quality game that pushes the hardware limitations.

This game has exciting single player campaign with awesome made weapons, fantastic mission objectives with tons of action, most inspiring gameplay mechanics with great range of weapons, brutal melee attacks, and cover system that keeps the game so entertaining.

I got to say it definitely has the best graphics ever made on PS3 systems that have more realistic animation, superb rendered design for backgrounds and layouts, and featuring a badass 3D model technology that the PS3 can handle the game very well.

5 - God of War 3

I really enjoyed playing the first and second game from the HD collection, and I decided to play God of War 3 for PS3.

God of War 3 is the hack and slash game for PS3 only. You get to play as Kratos to assassinate the king of Olympian Gods named Zeus for revenge.

Kratos is one of the most badass video game character of all time that kicks all their asses with his brutal blades with instant finishing moves and amazing ability to use variety of magics.

The game has puzzle solving, intense QTE events, and much more graphical blood effects that makes the game worth playing.

If you’re the fan of the ultra violence games with Ancient Greek mythology, then this is for you to play it on PS3.

4 - Yakuza 3

Oh yeah, I fricken love playing Japanese Yakuza games for PS3.

Yakuza series is very known for being open world adventure with many places to explore like in the city, events, and main missions with cinematic story, and memorable characters.

Yakuza 3 is somewhat one of my favourite and first ever playing on the series because I really love focusing on storyplot, having amazing character like Kazuma Kiryu, excellent gameplay brawling with beat em ups elements and QTE events that really makes the game so much enjoyable.

It reminds me one of the SEGA’s masterpiece series of all time like Shenmue series for SEGA Dreamcast because it does shares the similarities of gameplay and cinematic cutscenes that inspired Yakuza series makes the game so intresting to play, so if you love playing open world game, then you should try this game for PS3.

3 - Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

Metal Gear Solid is my favourite Konami series by Hideo Kojima, a creator of Metal Gear series.

I've enjoyed these classic MGS games like MGS 1, 2, and 3 are the best stealth-action game ever made by Kojima himself that defines the game genres.
I say the MGS4 is frigging epic because I love the in-depth story with longer cutscenes and character’s plot development, which makes the game so interesting to learn about their story backgrounds and I say the cutscenes is very cinematic and so crispy to watch.

The gameplay mechanics is somewhat has the fluids controls, stealthy cover system, and amazing boss battles makes the game so fun to enjoy on single player missions.

Solid Snake is the awesome video game protagonists on the series, while others like Liquid Ocelot, Vamp, and Big Boss are the most memorable villains in the game.

I say this is must play for third person shooter fans out there.

2 - Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

As you know Naughty Dog, a well known developer for Jax and Dexter and The Last of Us, made really fantastic action-adventure game called Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is the excellent sequel to the first game for PS3.

It has received such critical acclaim reviews and award winning 2009 from video game critics calling it best action-adventure game that defines PS3.

It has well made gameplay mechanics with balanced controls, well challenging puzzle solving, very big level locations, and it has plenty more action in game.

If you're the fan of the action-adventure type of games like Tomb Raider series then it is for you to have a great experience with this game.

1 - The Last of Us

The Last of Us is the one of Naughty Dog’s gaming masterpiece ever made for PS3 is due to it showing what the PS3 was capable of utilizing the hardware systems.

The game received universal acclaim reviews and award winning 2013 from video game critics calling it one of the best PS3 game ever made.

It has the best presentation overall with such a touching story, awesome characters like Joel and Eille, and it has survival horror elements of the game.
It has influential gameplay mechanics, very cinematic scenes, well made voice cast by Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson, and putting higher atmosphere of the game overall.

It is one of my favourite PS3 ever on my list and it never disappoint me at all because this game deserves to be on number 1.

The Raid 2 Blu Ray Review

The Raid 2 (A.K.A The Raid 2: Berandal in Indonesia) is a Indonesian action film released in 2014, which directed by Welsh director Gareth Evans, a same director did the first movie called The Raid was released in 2012. This movie is a sequel to the original 2012 movie, which I've already enjoyed the movie overall because it's has tons of ultra violence with blood splatted all over the place, crazy martial arts techniques, and it has action packed madness with insane weapons that makes the whole movie so epic to watch, so if you haven't seen the first movie yet, then go check it out because it is the most recommended movie to watch it on DVD or Blu Ray.

If you haven't seen my movie review of the first ones, then here is my link down below to go check it out first before you're ready to read my review on this movie.

The Raid Blu Ray Review:

Okay, here are my thoughts about this movie. I've enjoyed watching this movie because it's a fantastic sequel that offers more variety of having more story development giving more important plot of this movie, new casting choices with interesting characters, more graphical effects with even more gruesome gore and blood than was before, and well made action work with better stuntwork and extreme fight scenes makes the movie overall much intense and fun to watch.

It may be not just good as the first movie, but it is still frigging awesome film that the fans of the first movie would love this action packed film.

Presentation

The movie follows the event after the first movie, the SWAT member Rama (Played by Iko Uwais) meets with the police officer Bunawar (Played by Cok Simbara), giving him the mission to investigating on Bangun and Goto gangs after he learning of his brother's death and imminent threat to his family.

I say this movie are more heavily focused on story development to expand the character's interesting plot and giving the most important dialogue of the movie in which allowing to put more details on the storyplot to know what the characters are actually talked about during the scenes, which seems the director is doing very well for having the well written plot development, superb dialogue, and having the fantastic presentation overall.

I say the casting of the characters are doing awesome job in the movies, such as Iko Uwais has done a great job playing as the main character, while others like Cecep Arif Rahman, Julie Estelle, and Very Tri Yulisman are surprisingly played the best villains in movie history is due to badass looking concept of the group of villains are actually done really awesome job in the fight scenes. I'm glad that Yayan Ruhian, who previously played Mad Dog from the first movie, makes the appearance on this movie playing as Prakoso, which sounds like a great choice of the character in the movie.

Overall, I love the presentation overall with outstanding story and fantastic characters with awesome casting choices makes this film another masterpiece.

Atmosphere

I love the action sequences because it brings even more hardcore than was before, so I like seeing the bad guys get showered by the bullets and getting head blowned up by the weapons with blood splatted all over the place, gets hit by the dangerous objects such as cars and truck, and beaten and sliced with the bats, hammer, stick, and knife makes the whole fight scenes look gruesomely brilliant, which I believe that the director wanted to make the special effects techniques and stuntwork look more realistic to make the movie atmosphere so entertaining.

The martial arts techniques on the fight scenes are actually much fast paced and has very intense performance seems done very good job and the stunt work for chase scenes is just awesome to watch.

I say this movie has the best atmosphere overall ever made in film history.

Music and Sounds

I say the Joseph Trapanese and others artist did a good job using the darker industrial music and adding orchestrated soundtrack sounds pretty decent in the movie, but it wasn't sound exciting as the first movie, which I liked the soundtrack better from the first movie, but I say the music on this movie sounds pretty good so far.

I like the sound work in the movie, which are perfect for higher quality speakers because it really has the ambient sound, more sound atmosphere, background noises, and the sound effects are cooler for gun shooting sequences, which they did a great job with sound development for this movie.

Special Features

This Blu Ray version comes with deleted scenes, commentary, behind the choreography, and exclusive Q&A with actors and directors, which is nice features on the blu ray version.

Advantages

Intense fight scenes

Well made presentation

Great stuntwork

Excellent graphical violence

Decent soundtrack

Perfect sound effects

Disadvantages

None at all

Final Verdict

Presentation 9.8/10 - Well written plot development, superb dialogue, amazing casting choices for characters, and having the fantastic presentation overall.

Atmosphere 10/10 - Fantastic fight scenes, superb graphical violence, and well made special effects.

Music and Sounds 9.5/10 - Excellent soundtrack, ambient sound, more sound atmosphere, background noises, and higher quality sound effects.

Special Features 9/10 -  Deleted scenes, commentary, behind the choreography, and exclusive Q&A with actors and directors.

Overall 9.8/10 - The Raid 2 is definitely another best sequel to the best original 2012. This movie deserves higher praise for having superb story and characters, ultra violence madness, intense action scenes, awesome special effects, and the whole atmosphere of this movie is just amazing to watch, which the fans of the first movie should able to pick this film up is worth buying it.

SEGA Mega Drive Ultimate Collection PS3 Review

SEGA Mega Drive Ultimate Collection (A.K.A Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection in USA) is a compilation of 90's classic video games, developed by Backbone Entertainment, and published by SEGA for PS3 and X360.

This collection contains 40 Mega Drive games plus 8 unlockable games from previous Arcade and Master System. It has Sonic the Hedgehog, Street of Rage, Golden Axe, Shinobi 3, Vectorman, Ristar, Super Thunder Blade, Alien Storm and more of the classics games in the whole collection.

I'm glad I have this collection to play it on my PS3 because I love the SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive back in 90's gaming childhood with excellent games title to play with, so it is worth price from the game store with 48 games are perfect for video game collectors, who grew up playing classics from the 90's.

So lets get the blast processing ready to go on my blog review, shall we.

Presentation

This game collection has really interesting presentation on museum menu because it's showing the history of the games and images of game case and cartridge. It has 40 games on the list, which you can rate the game out of 5 to see which ones are your favourites and which ones you did not like the game.

In extra options, you can watch all the interviews videos from the original game developers are quite useful to hear about their experience in developing games.

I say I like the whole presentation of this game showing the interesting history, cool images and watching interview videos about the development.

Gameplay

The gameplay plays fantastic because you have the options to change the control schemes in order to make the gameplay overall becoming playable, so you can turn on ABC mode for classic controls methods or you can customised the controls in different buttons placement to make the controls played right for you to enjoy your experience in each games.

You can save game by going to options and using the save state is quite helpful for players to save the game, so you can continue the game where you left off by loading the game from load state without having to start over again.

I did enjoy the games like Sonic 2, Shinobi 3, Street of Rage 2, Columns, and Golden Axe are quite playable with no problems at all, while the others like Alien Storm is a decent game for Mega Drive version, but on this version, sometimes I hate it when the game started to froze randomly on mission 5 or 6 and I had to quit the game from the options menu, but it does not freezes the game a lot because I'm managed to complete the game in time.

Overall, it's still plays good with the nice addition of customising controls and having the save features.

Graphics

The graphics are really fantastic for all original Mega Drive games because you can change the screen ratios to make the screen size bit bigger to fit well on your HDTV size, which doesn't make the whole game goes out of shape and colours.
The game graphics look very polished and detailed on HD screen because it cleans all the images and pixels to make the game look neat as possible without any flaws.

I say the graphics still has the classic remarks, even it's running on HD making it look perfect for all classics games.

Music and Sounds

I say the music from the intro and game list menu is somewhat pretty decent, but I also like the music from the game like Sonic 2, Street of Rage 2, Shinobi 3, Golden Axe, Comix Zone, Decap Attack, and others games still has the same sound engines as the original Mega Drive, which making the sounds emulation more original without any issues at all. The sound effects is sounds pretty good too for Mega Drive games, but I say the music and sounds from Space Harrier for this version is sounds little bit off compared with original arcade machines sounds better, but at least this version still sounds like from the original arcade game, but not accurately perfect.

I say this music and sounds are still in the good shape, which is quite promising enough, so I like it.

Special Feature

This collection offers unlockable interviews videos and 8 unlockable games on extra menus. It has the history of the game, and the gallery of the game cases and cartridge is still cool to check it out.
It has unlockable trophy achievements to gain more challenge for some of the classic games to collect the unlockable trophy, which is nice touch on this collection.

Advantages

Playable gameplay

Customisable controls

Save features

40 games in 1 collections

Very original graphics for HDTV

Unlockable stuff

Nice presentation

Disadvantages

Sometimes randomly freezes the game, but not a lot.

Music and sounds from Space Harrier not sound 100% accurate compared with original arcade machines.

There are some missing good games like Revenge of Shinobi, Gunstar Heroes, Outrun, and Super Hang On that didn't make it on the collection, which is quite shame, but it would have been nice to included on this collection, why not SEGA?

Final Verdict

Presentation 8/10 - Great history of the games, images of game cases and cartridge, and interesting interview video.

Gameplay 8/10 - Playable gameplay, customisable control, and save features.

Graphics 9/10 - Configuration video settings and very original graphics running on HDTV.

Music and Sounds 8/10 - Great soundtrack from the game, decent music from intro and game list menu, and some good sound effects from the game.

Special Features 8/10 - Unlockable 8 games, museums gallery and history, and unlockable interview videos.

Overall 8/10 - SEGA Mega Drive Ultimate Collection is the awesome gaming collection. It has really good games library to enjoy the classics are worth playing. I say the video game collector will love playing old school games from the past because you never get bored of playing these games, so this is highly recommended for everyone, those who don't have the Mega Drive/Genesis or haven't played these games for long time since 90's, should able to get this collection for cheaper prices because it is worth for buying this game.
