The Evil Within PS4 Review

The Evil Within (A.K.A "Psycho Break" in Japan) is a Survival Horror game for PS4, PS3, XBONE, X360, and PC, which developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda Softworks. It was created by Shinji Mikami, who is well known game creator behind Resident Evil 1, 4, Dino Crisis, God Hand, and Vanquish.

I've heard the disappointment of Resident Evil 6, which Capcom nearly kills one of the amazing series is because of RE 6 (except Resident Evil: Revelations 1 and 2) had lacked of survival horror elements is never been good as compared to previous Resident Evil games that I really enjoyed hell a lot back in old days.
I decided to go pick up The Evil Within for PS4 is because this gives horror gaming fans a better gaming experiences with intense horror atmosphere, balanced gameplay and gruesome environments for graphics that made the game so much better than what Capcom did with RE 6. Tango Gameworks did a decent job with the game's overall that everyone should able to play this game, so I'm really impressed with this game that gains my attention and I had lot of great experiences with the whole game that the game developer has to offer.

Okay, lets get the game review started, shall we.

Presentation

It is started with Detective Sebastian Castellanos and his team Juil Kidman and Joseph Oda are heading at Beacon Mental Hospital to investigating crime scene before he gets knocked down by deadly man named Ruvik causing Sebastian pulled to nightmarish world with full of gruesome areas and horrid creatures.

The story in the game is quite above the average. It does have some great set of cutscenes with fully detailed scenes, but I say the plot in the game isn't that bad, but it wasn't the strongest part of the game. Some of the dialogue are sounds quite cheesy and being far fetched compared with other horror game. The characters in the game is kinda mixed bag at the best. I say the main protagonist is not that bad but it wasn't memorable as the characters from Resident Evil series.

I like the atmosphere of the game is because this game has very intense horror scenes mixed between survival and psychological with nightmarish stages, so many dark illusions, deadly traps, gruesome kills, blood spreading everywhere, some dead corpses laying on the floor and of course the whole enemies in the game is very horrific and scary that made the whole horror scenes look amazing.

I say like the horror elements of the game, but they should have done better job for story and characters.

Gameplay

The gameplay is played with third person perspective. Your main goal is to complete each chapters to progress through the story.

The basic controls is pretty straightforward to use. You can take control of main protagonist's movement with thumbsticks to move and look around. Your character can able to sprint by holding run button to evade from the enemy's attack and you can do stealth by holding the sneak button to avoid getting caught by enemy's nearby, but you can also distract them by throwing bottles in random places. I say the basic controls is working well with no issues at all.

The combat mechanics plays great with easier aiming controls, accurate shooting detection, and simple melee attack including stealth attack are working very well in the game. You will have selection of weapons and items from the inventory screen in which you can equip your weapons for combat gameplay and using health items to gain more character's health. You can improve your abilities and weapons by collecting green gel in which you can able to upgrade it in mental hospital allowing to increase your character's performance and weapons powers makes easier for players to have better gameplay's overall. You can also disarm these dead traps, such as bombs, barb-wired claws, and strings in which that disarming the traps will save you from prevent getting killed by these dead traps.

Some of the bigger creatures like reborn laura and the keeper are quite dodgy and frustrating because it kills you instantly with heavier damage, so make sure you got plenty ammo to kill them or try avoiding them by evading from bigger enemy without wasting ammo.

The levels in whole game is quite challenging and there's plenty moments to enjoy the single player campaign that made the game so fun. Overall, the gameplay is actually fun with impressive controls, well made combat mechanics, and really has stunning level campaign.

Graphics

This game has lot of gruesome content in the game with so much bloody environment for graphical details. It does have some fine looking textures and backgrounds for the building areas and the animation of the game looked rarely decent for character's models and it has some good lighting and shades in the levels. The special effects in the game looked more horrific with blood spreading all over the places and it does have superb gores for dead peoples, creatures covered with blood, and some of the disturbing environments that made the game looked terrifying.

Overall, the graphics is still has greater environment, animation, and bloody special effects that made the game look perfect for survival horror genres.

Music and Sounds

Masafumi Takada did a fabulous job with original soundtrack. The darker ambient has really scarier feels that really fits in gameplay levels, while at the save point area does have really calm classical song that fits in the mood. The sound effects has really terrifying background noises and some special sound effects has grinning sounds of the game. The voice acting is okay for some of the characters, but not sounds perfect for presentation.

I say the original soundtrack is fabulous and the sound effects is definitely well made.

Special Features

This game has new game plus with chapter select, unlockables character models and extra weapons, collecting archives, and 3 DLC where you can play as juil Kidman for 2 chapter levels and the mini game that you can play as the keeper with FPS perspective is quite has some good offering for this game.

Advantages

Impressive Gameplay

Great Graphics

Fabulous Music and Sounds

Scarier Setups

Gruesome Scenes

Disadvantages

Cheesy plot and dialogue

Not memorable characters

Dodgy bigger enemies

Final Verdict

Presentation 6.2/10 - Praised for horror scenes and atmosphere, but criticised for storyplot and characters.

Gameplay 8/10 -  Impressive controls, well made combat mechanics, and stunning level campaign.

Graphics 8/10 - Greater environment, animation, and bloody special effect.

Music and Sounds 8/10 - Original soundtrack is fabulous and the sound effects is definitely well made.

Special Features 7.5/10 - New game plus, unlockables stuff, collecting archives, and 3 DLCs.

Overall 8/10 - I'm glad that the Tango Gameworks made a really good horror game for modern consoles. The Evil Within did show up with having more survival horror elements, unique gameplay mechanics, very extreme graphical details, and the whole atmosphere of the game is actually amazing, but I think the story presentation needs to improve a bit if they are considered making a better sequel than this. Overall, it's a great game by father of survival horror (Shinji Mikami) and if you're into with the game like Resident Evil then The Evil Within is definitely for you to try it out.

Infamous: First Light PS4 Review

Infamous: First Light is a Open World Action-Adventure game for PS4, developed by Sucker Punch and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It is a standalone PS4 game and prequel to Infamous: Second Son for PS4, which is a third sequel of Infamous 2 for PS3.

Three years ago, I've reviewed two of the great games for PS3 and it is the most amazing PS3 games that Sucker Punch made a decent PS3 exclusives. If you haven't seen my two of the previous review, then here's the link down below to check it out before you start reading this review.

Okay then, I'm starting this game review. My thoughts on this game is it does have some decent single player campaign, such as main missions, collecting lumens, graffiti mini game and exploring different areas. I'm also enjoyed the challenge mode as well, which is fun to play different modes of challenges, such as rescue hostages and survival. The story and characters in the game are quite also good as well with background story, interesting protagonist, and well made cutscenes, but the problem with the game is that the single player campaign length is rather too short compared with previous game, smaller open world levels, and the mission is too easy which lacks challenging due overpowered character's ability that makes the game easy to beat quite quickly. So it is the good game, but not good as the previous game, but still worth playing for PS4 collectors.

Presentation

This game takes place before the event of Infamous: Second Son. It started with Abigail Walker (A.K.A Fetch), a female conduit, in D.U.P prison and tells the story about her events that happened in two years earlier before the arrest.
In two years ago, Abigail and her brother Brent are heading at the boat to escape from Seattle to Canada to avoid her actions, but the boat are destroyed by Russians gangs called Akurans and taken her brother as hostage, while Abigail is still survived. Her mission is to find and rescue her brother.

The storyplot are showing interesting back story of main protagonist with suspicious dialogue, intense cutscenes, and some narrative lines that keeps the story interested. I say the main protagonist in the game is good female character, which showing with her amazing superpowers and controlling her emotions through the game's story that makes her so great in the game.

The game's overall presentation is quite lot different from Infamous 1 and 2 with complex story and newer characters is just makes the game so much interesting, but it wasn't sounds strong as the previous game, but still worth hearing some great presentation of the game.

Gameplay

The single player campaign is just like from Second Son, but features a newer things of open world gameplay, such as collecting lumens, using graffiti in different areas, saving hostages, and attacking enemy's vehicles.

Your character has ability to use light sprint, where your character turns light while sprinting can be also worked with running on walls and building, which is cool and you can perform flying by holding jump button while in mid air to get across the different areas and you can climb ledges and any object in any areas. You could also drain the electrical objects to fill your power bars in order to use your neon powers. You can attack your enemy with the melee attack and using the neon laser gives extra damage to your enemy, which worked really well with combat systems. You can upgrade your ability by collecting lumens or completing certain objectives will earn you some upgrading points, where you can enhanced your attacking systems, movements, and neon abilities allowing to add more variety of combat systems, such as melee combos, better neon laser, improving movesets and reliable character's abilities making the character more powerful.

The gameplay has great combat controls with precise aiming, balanced shooting distances, simple evade movement, and awesome melee attack feels much responsive and accurate to use with no problems at all. I also like the graffiti part, where you can control it with light bar on PS4 controller is quite awesome.
It is good to explore any areas in the game, but it's rather bit smaller than the previous game. I've enjoyed the main mission of the game, but it lacks higher challenge compared with challenge mode that makes the game easy to beat is due to overpowered character's ability. I like the challenge mode, which I've enjoyed the rescuing hostages and survival are actually enjoyable to play.

Overall, this game has decent controls, has some fun factor for challenge mode, fun to explore the whole levels, and has some good mission in the game.

Graphics

This game has really beautifully made graphical environments of the game, which offers impressive visuals effects and colourful lighting is looking amazing with abigail's neon power. It has really stand out animation for character's models keeping the right shape of the character's overall. The cutscenes is just feels realistic to watch and the levels environment has great level design and setups. This game has smooth framerate that keeps the game performance looked spectacular for PS4 systems.

Overall, great graphics with superb special effects, animations, level design, and characters is definitely top notch for this game.

Music and Sounds

This game has really epic original soundtrack mixed between industrial and orchestrated rock style is fitting well in the game's cutscenes and gameplay, which shows the overall atmospheres of the game is just sounds fantastic. The sound effect of the game has awesome sound environments, background sounds, and atmosphere effects has definitely the best sound work of the game. The voice acting did a amazing job on every characters in the whole game as well.

I say the music and sounds of the game is pretty stands out for this game.

Special Features

This game contains 2 challenge mode including playable characters Delsin Rowe can be played on challenge mode, if you have the game data from Infamous: Second Son. In single player campaign, it has some side missions like graffiti mini game, collecting lumens, race with lumens, destroy enemy's vehicles, and rescuing hostages. It has trophy achievements as well.

Advantages

Decent Gameplay

Great Presentation

Beautiful Graphics

Epic Music and Sounds

Fun challenge mode

Good protagonist

Not bad main mission

Disadvantages

Smaller open world levels

Short length campaign

Campaign is too easy

Overpowered character's ability

Final Verdict

Presentation 8/10 - Interesting back story and characters, and cutscenes.

Gameplay 7.5/10 - Decent controls, fun challenge mode, cool to explore levels, and not bad main mission.

Graphics 8.5/10 - Impressive visual effects, cool animation, great level environment, and smooth performances.

Music and Sounds 8/10 - Epic music, Brilliant sound effects and amazing voice cast.

Special Features 7/10 - Challenge mode, mini game, and trophy achievements.

Overall 7.4/10 - It's a good game for PS4 exclusives, but it may be not good as the previous games. Sucker Punch did stepped up in the right direction of having great presentation, gameplay and graphics, but there are some of the elements that needs to improve the game, such as having longer campaign, fairly balanced character's ability, having more bigger open world levels, and needs more challenging campaign missions that should have been done better in the game. Overall, I like the game and it is worth to pay the game for cheaper price, so you can get the game from PS Store as downloadable game or get the physical copy of the game from the retail store or internet store.

It is highly recommended for the fans of the series and hopefully I'll give a try with Infamous: Second Son for the next future.

Mortal Kombat X PS4 Review

History of Mortal Kombat Series:

In year 1992, Midway Games brought their first 2D fighting game to the arcade system. Mortal Kombat is the 2D fighting game, which created by Ed Boon and John Tobias. The game is very known for having controversial content of the game, such as gruesome violence introducing finishing moves called "Fatality" and using realistic digitised graphics that gives many of gamers attention. It is one of the best 2D fighting classics of all time that defines fighting game's genre had becoming most popular fighting games in history. It is later released for console version by Acclaim Entertainment, which the game had becoming best selling game and giving SEGA Genesis one of the best version of the game beating SNES version is due to blood codes are included on SEGA Genesis version except SNES version.

With the success of first game, they later making sequels, such as Mortal Kombat 2, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, Mortal Kombat 4, MK: Deadly Alliance, MK: Deception, MK: Armageddon, and MK vs DC Universe is the last game made by Midway Games before the Netherrealm Studio will take over the MK franchises, which they later made the reboot called "Mortal Kombat" in year 2011 and gained more positive reviews from video game critics and being awarded as best fighting game of the year 2011.

Mortal Kombat series has many memorable rosters, brilliant gameplay controls, gruesome graphics, and has the best fatalities moves in fighting game history.

Today, I'm going to review Mortal Kombat X for PS4 version to see if this game is good as the Mortal Kombat from 2011's.

Mortal Kombat X PS4 Review

Mortal Kombat X is a fighting game for PS4, XBONE, and PC developed by Netherrealms Studio, while High Voltage Software are going to release PS3 and X360 version later in September and it is also published by Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment.

This game is definitely the best fighting games of 2015 is because the developers shows how awesome this game is and giving more efforts to make a superb fighting game up to date, such as overall presentation, soild gameplay fighting mechanics, and more additional content of the game that the developers has to offer.

This game offers wide range of gameplay mechanics system introducing characters variations. This game contains story mode, versus mode, tower mode, online battle, and krypt mode to unlock useful items. It is also introducing faction wars, where the players chooses one from 5 faction to join online cross-platform competition to gain ranking and special points.

I really enjoyed the whole MK experience of this game that giving more atmosphere to make game so exciting to play.

Presentation

This game takes place after the event of MK 2011 with the defeat of Shao Kahn, Shinnok sends his army of Netherrealms demons to destroy Earthrealms with under Quan Chi's control before he was captured by Raiden using Shinnok's amulet that trapped him inside, while Quan Chi escapes.

In twenty years later after Shinnok's defeat, Johnny cage's teams of fighters (Such as Cassie, Takeda, Jacqui, and Kung Jin) were been sent in Outworld to resolve civil war plot between former empress milenna, who has obtained Shinnok's amulet from Kano, and Outworld's emperor Kotal Kahn.

The presentation of the game has well made storyplot with great cinematic cutscenes and well detailed story development that made story mode so amazing to watch the whole scenes with magnificent character's plotholes of the game. The characters in the whole game are still brilliant too as well as the new roster in the game are nearly quite good as the returning characters from the previous game.

Gameplay

The gameplay has amazing fighting mechanics. You can choose their 3 character's variations to perform different variety of moveset during the battle, which is cool to select any different fighting style. It has responsive controls are perfect for basic attacks, special moves and combo moves works very well in the gameplay with no issues at all. You can perform X-Ray as another special moves, which shows opponent's body getting crunched by the players looked really awesome during the fight. The fatality moves including brutalities and faction kill is still looked bloody amazing to see opponent getting gutted and killed by the players, but it is still shame that the babalities, animalities, and friendship are also missing in the game, but it would have been sounds nice to include these three as downloadable content. You can also purchase 30 easy fatalities as DLC, which it should have been sound better with infinity easy fatalities rather than having to pay a DLC to get 30 easy fatalities.

I did enjoy the story mode playing as each of the characters in the game is quite fun to play and the tower mode has classic single player modes, endless mode, survival mode, test your luck mode, and test your might are the best part of the game that made me enjoy the MK experiences. The versus mode has 2 player battle offline and online are also good as well. It does have training sessions where you have to learn and practice to play the game, such as tutorial and practice mode are very useful to learn your experiences on fighting game. Faction Wars is useful to earn points and ranking to gain more experiences of this game.

I say this game has solid fighting mechanics and it has more game modes to play with makes Mortal Kombat X worth playing.

Graphics

Despite using Unreal Engine 3, the graphics environment in the game still looked pretty amazing with crispy cutscenes, great character's environment with well designed 3D models, decent visuals with well rendered effects on backgrounds, the textures looks more detailed and the whole animation runs really well with 60 FPS and 1080p to keep the game up to date.

It's still look good as the Mortal Kombat 2011's, but it didn't make much differences from the previous game. Overall, this game still has the bloodiest graphics on fighting games history.

Music and Sounds

Mortal Kombat X does have impressive original soundtrack for every fighting stages and cinematic cutscenes gives a darker feel of the game that fits very well for presentation and during gameplay battle and it has very atmospheric sounds with fantastic sound effects and background sounds is just sounds right for fighting stages.

The voice cast did a great job on each characters with quality voices and better dialogues for story presentation and gameplay stages is just makes perfect sounding for this game.

Special Features

This game has krypt mode where you have to go and find items to unlock, which I believe it has lot of unlockable content, such as artwork, more fatalities on moves list, music track, and etc. The downloadable content has unlockable characters (such as Goro, Tanya, Tremor and of course it has 2 guest chararcters Jason Voorhees and Predator) , classics fatalities, character's costumes, and etc.

Advantages

Soild Gameplay

Amazing Graphics

Impressive Music and Sounds

Awesome character roster

More unlockable stuff

Fantastic Presentation

Disadvantages

Missing babalities, animalities and friendship.

Missing 3 playable characters (Such as Sindel, Rain, and Baraka) unless it would have been sound awesome to make them available as playable DLC roster in future.

Easy fatalities should have been stayed infinity instead of having to pay 30 easy fatalities from the downloadable store.

Final Verdict

Presentation 8/10 - Well made storyplot and awesome characters.

Gameplay 8.5/10 - Soild fighting mechanics with well made controls, more variety of character's moveset, and easier to execute special moves makes gameplay played brilliant.

Graphics 8/10 -  Crispy cutscenes, great character's environment, decent visuals, detailed textures, and well made animation.

Music and sounds 8.3/10 - Impressive soundtrack, atmospheric sounds, and  great voice acting for characters.

Special Features 9/10 - More unlockables and downloadable content.

Overall 8.5/10 - It is the best fighting games in 2015. Mortal Kombat X has got everything right with having more variety of gameplay, making the presentation sounds amazing, the graphics is still looked more detailed, and it is still the most brutal fighting games for modern consoles day.

For all the gamers out there, who are into with gruesome games, should able to go pick this game up for PS4, XBONE, and PC, while for PS3 and X360 owners should have to wait this game to release on this September.

Rayman Legends PS4 Review

History of Rayman Series

In year 90's, when the platformer game genre becoming popular from 80's to 90's, one of the Ubisoft game creator Michel Ancel decided to make 2D platformer game called "Rayman" was intended to developed for SNES CD add-ons, but the SNES CD add-ons was cancelled and later moved to Atari Jaguar, SONY Playstation, SEGA Saturn, PC, and handheld devices. Rayman received highly acclaimed from critics for colorful graphics, game atmosphere, soundtrack, and unique gameplay style that gained attention to gaming fans.

In early 2000's, they later releasing a sequel "Rayman 2: The Great Escape" is a 3D platformer game for Nintendo 64, SONY Playstation, SEGA Dreamcast, and other console platform, which also received acclaimed for game presentation, fluid gameplay, vibrant graphics, and soundtrack had becoming one of the best game in the series. They later made another sequel "Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc" for Nintendo Gamecube, SONY Playstation 2, Microsoft Xbox, and other console platforms, which received positive reviews from the critics, but they say it may be not good as the previous Rayman game, but still a decent 3D platformer game.

In year 2011, Ubisoft was announced another game called "Rayman Origins" that takes back to 2D platformer roots and was released for Nintendo Wii, SONY Playstation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360, and other console platform. It is entirely different from the previous game with cartoony animation, funny humor, and it has more variety of 2D gameplay than the first Rayman game. The game received worldwide acclaimed from critics for returning to 2D platformer roots, graphics, presentation, and gameplay overall as being the best 2D platformer game for modern consoles. They later releasing another sequel "Rayman Legends" for same multiplatform consoles including SONY Playstation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One is also receives critical acclaimed reviews from the critics.

Rayman Legends PS4 Review

Rayman legends is a 2D platformer game for all multiplatform consoles (Such as PS3, PS4, X360, XBONE, Wii U, and other console platforms), which both developed and published by Ubisoft.
This is my first game to review for PS4 version to gain my experience on modern days console, so my opinions on this game is somewhat the most ironic 2D platformer game I've ever played is because I love the whole presentation of the game with sense of humor and story overall. It has magnificent gameplay style with superb controls and wacky stages, very detailed animations with cartoony art style, outstanding soundtrack with atmospheric musical score and all sound works, and other things that the Ubisoft has to offer even better than was before.

Presentation

It all starts with Rayman and his friends have been sleeping for a century before the nightmares and 5 dark teensies slowly began to capture 10 princesses and all teensies from the land. Rayman and his friends are awakened by their friend Murfy who tells them about the bad news regarding the princesses and teensies has been captured by the groups of nightmares. Rayman and his friends set their quest to rescue all of remaining princesses and teensies.

I really like the story cutscenes at the opening scenes that the developers gives a great idea to see what was the story and purpose of this game and I like the characters from the past Rayman games, such as Rayman, Globox, Teensies, and Murfy. I do like the rest of the new characters are actually look pretty decent in the game, but others rather looked a bit quite same. It does have some funny moments on each of the cutscenes that makes the game so interesting to watch.

Overall, the presentation has superb cutscenes, cool characters, and some funny humour that really entertains me well.

Gameplay

This game has over 120 stages, so your main goal is to save all teensies in order to unlock next levels. You're take control of Rayman or other playable characters to complete each stages, so your character has ability to use floating jump, wall jump on each platform, climbing, and running to pass through the stages. Your character can damage the enemies by the attack button, charge attack while holding the attack button, jump attack, and running attack while running.

Your assistant friend Murfy can able to move objects, cutting rope, and attacking enemy on each stage is very helpful in the game.
The 4 player co-op mode is very helpful as well to get your friends to help you completing the each stages, which is quite cool to have it on this game.

You can find hidden secrets somewhere in the levels where you can rescue teensies and you can collect yellow lums on each levels, which you can able to unlock the different character when collecting enough lums.

Your PS4 touchpad is used for scratching tickets and taking photos on camera modes, which you can upload and share images to your PSN services.

The gameplay works really well with outstanding controls is just easy and simple, solid hit detection, very advanced stages with variety of level design making the game look challenged, and it does have the best boss fights overall. Sometimes the level can be bit frustrating depends what level you're playing on, but I don't mind at all because that what the game enjoyment is about making it more challenged, the more you will enjoy the experience of this game.

Graphics

I love the art style of the whole game with cartoony character design, colorful stages with some of great layouts and backgrounds, smooth animation, nice visuals, and overall environment that makes the game look amazing with cartoon style graphics running on 1080p with 60 FPS allowing the game to run perfect on the console systems without any graphical issues.

It's definitely has the best graphics in modern gaming that shows how the Rayman series should have been like these days.

Music and Sounds

I say the original score of the game sounds really awesome on each levels especially I really enjoyed the cover soundtrack from rhythm based levels, such as RamJam - Black Betty, Survivor - Eye of the Tiger, and Anti-Social - Trust that gives overall atmosphere of the game.

It has really great sound effects with well made background noise, more atmospheric effects, and has decent voice for the characters that makes sound like from 90's cartoons, so I say the whole music and sounds of the game are sounds actually fantastic.

Special Features

This game has unlockable 40 stages from Rayman Origins, characters when collecting enough lums or rescuing princesses as playable characters, and collecting lucky tickets to win creatures, lums, levels, and teensies.

Advantages

Outstanding gameplay

Amazing graphics

Superb presentation

4 players co-op

Fantastic music and sounds

More unlockable stuff

Disadvantages

Sometimes the levels can be harder depends what level you're playing on.

Some of the new playable characters are quite too similar to others.

Final Verdict

Presentation 9.5/10 - It has superb cutscenes, cool characters, and some funny humour that really entertains me well.

Gameplay 9.7/10 - Outstanding controls, characters abilities, solid hit detection, very helpful assistant character, having 4 player co-op, and it has the epic boss battles in gaming.

Graphics 10/10 - Cartoony art style, superb character design, smooth animation, nice visuals, and overall environment as being best graphics for modern gaming consoles.

Music and Sounds 9.5/10 - It has fantastic original score and cover music, well made background noise, more atmospheric effects and 90's cartoons voices.

Special Features 10/10 -  It has unlockable 40 stages from Rayman Origins, characters when collecting enough lums or rescuing princesses as playable characters, and collecting lucky tickets to win creatures, lums, levels, and teensies.

Overall 9.7/10 - Rayman Legends is the Fantastic 2D platformer game by Ubisoft. I say it's better than the Rayman Origins and it is the best 2D platformer game up to date for multiplatform consoles. This game has really takes in the right positions of making the game played just perfect for all platformers fans out there should considering buying this game.

Shenmue 3 Kickstarter ends at $6.3 million

Shenmue 3 Kickstarter has ended last night with $6.3 million and it is becoming one of the highest funded kickstarter in video game history.

It breaks the record of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, which has raised $5.5 million.

Shenmue 3 Kickstarter was announced at E3 2015 Press Conference since last month and their main goal is to raise $2 million in order to start developing game, so it did raised more than $2 million, which had becoming the fastest kickstarter funding before they announced the stretch goals been pushed to $11 million in order to add more extra content of the game, such as expanded mini games, advanced free battle, rapport system, skill tree system, character perspective system, and etc.

While Sony are not going to fund kickstarter, which they only pay for marketing, advertising and PS4 version, the company's kickstarter have later revealed the physical PS4 copy of the game and bringing more Shenmue merchandise, which allowing more backers to pledge more money faster for the kickstarter campaign.

Overall, it is great news for Yu Suzuki's teams are doing well with their kickstarter raised $6.3 million and I'm happy that the game's sequel announcement has happened last month and I'm definitely look forward to see this game on PS4 in 2017.

Yu Suzuki, good luck with the development of Shenmue 3 and I hope it is best of luck to all fans of the series will enjoy the sequel in 2017.

Great job, YSNet.

Satoru Iwata have passed away

Today, I have to give a sad news to all gamers and fans who grew up playing the classics Nintendo games from the past.

The President of Nintendo Satoru Iwata have passed away at the age of 55 on July 11th 2015 due to health issues. I'm shocked that I've found out the gaming article on internet this morning and there are lot of people on comments are very upset to hear such depressing loss of Nintendo President.

He first started working the company called HAL Laboratory as a programmer in 80's, which he is known for making games like Earthbound, Kirby, and Balloon Fight. I'm going to make my 5 favourite 2D fighting games of all time, so here is "Top 5 2D Fighting Games."

5 - The King of Fighters 99

If you like the Neo Geo fighting games like Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting, then The King of Fighters 99 is definitely for you to play because SNK made the best fighting games for Neo Geo system.
The King of Fighters 99 is amazing game featuring memorable characters, such as Terry, Mai, Kyo, Iori, and many others fighting rosters.

This game features 4 characters in teams, selectable fighting styles, and performing special moves with power gauge gives more variations of the fighting gameplay.

The gameplay control feels very fluid for combo moves and special moves works very well done and it has stunning 2D graphics with spectacular animation, nice visual effects, and great character details that fits really perfect for Neo Geo games.

4 - Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3

MORTAL KOMBAT!!!!!!!!!!!

I love Mortal Kombat series because it is one of the bloodiest and most badass fighting game series in classic days.
Mortal Kombat had becoming so popular in 90's along with fighting fans and critics is due to high impact violence that caught attention to gamers.
My favourite Mortal Kombat game goes to Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 for the arcade version because it has more characters including returning favourites and better gameplay system.
It has awesome characters like Liu Kang, Kitana, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Sonya Blade, and many memorable characters in the game.

The gameplay has perfect controls, great moves, and many fatalities moves that keeps the game so bloody entertaining to watch.

3 - Killer Instinct

In 1994, Rareware brought the amazing fighting game that blows our mind with Ultra 64 arcade system, so that is Killer Instinct for the original arcade.

Killer Instinct is just one insane fighting game that created crazy amount of combo moves known as ULTRA COMBO!!!!! is the sickest combo hits in gaming history.
It has superb characters like Cinder, Jago, Black Orchid, Chief Thunder, Sabrewolf, Spinal, and others.
The gameplay has straightforward controls with special moves, fast paced combo mechanics, knocking opponent off the stage, and no mercy moves is the great example of 2D fighting based game.

I have to say the SNES version is one of the best arcade ports ever made, even the first game was meant to be made for N64, but still the SNES version is just straight in perfect arcade port.
