SONY Playstation 5 Reveal (My Reaction and Thoughts)

After watching the hour of exciting live event that was happen on June 11th, the moment of truth from SONY has finally revealed their true form of next-gen console which is SONY Playstation 5. Yes everyone, this is real thing that we been waiting for months to see what the actual console looked like in final design.
I want to share my reaction and thoughts on this piece of technology that brings the power of 8k gaming in holiday 2020.
I've already learned the hardware specs that was already confirmed back in Spring 2020, so the system uses AMD's Zen 2 with 8 CPU cores running at 3.5 Ghz, AMD's RDNA 2 GPU running at 2.23 GHZ, 10.28 TFLOPS, real-time ray traced rendering using GPU's hardware acceleration, new 3D audio technology based on Tempest Engine, 16GB of GDDR6 SDRAM with 448 GB/s bandwidth, 825 GB of custom based SSD storage, removable storage such as user upgradable internal and expansion NVMe M.2 SSD or external HDD, and Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive.
After learning all the hardware specs that SONY has already confirmed for PS5, we get to see a complete design of new PS5 console that is showed off on the live event video, so my thoughts on the PS5 console design is looking lot different from the previous consoles, so I got to say it is amazing to see how nicely the PS5 design looked because it has router-like console design with stormtroopers themed colour and more curvy look which gives a very futuristic feel on the console that is looking very attractive.
I also got to say the DualSense controller for PS5 is looking good for its colours and features, but I find the overall design is kinda bit too big to hold just like most Microsoft's Xbox controller, but don't get me wrong because it's still a positive controller which features 6 axis motion sensing, 2 analog sticks, 2 analog triggers, 2 pressure sensitive buttons, 10 digital buttons, digital D-Pad buttons, and 2 point capacitive touchpad.
Its one of the SONY's first controller to include strong haptic feedback for better in-game feedback, adaptive triggers for responsive and accurate resistance play, and has built-in microphone and integrated speaker that does not require additional microphone and headset like the PS4 controller which I think it's sounds pretty cool that is the best way to improve our gaming experience.

I also wanted to talk about the games reveal that is shown on live events coming to PS5 such as we getting a another Horizon sequel called Horizon Forbidden West, we looking forward to see another horror title like Resident Evil 8 Village, the full remake of Demon's Souls, another racing installment such as Gran Turismo 7, the Shinji Mikami's title Ghostwire Tokyo, Abe's new adventure like Oddworld Soulstorm, Square Enix's Project Athia, and two of the Insomniac Games's titles such as Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart and Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales which I think these games are looking spectacular on the actual trailer that made us want to go and pick up the new system at launch.

After talking my positives on SONY's new system, I also wanted to talk about 3 things that worries me the most is SONY did however already confirmed the development of the backwards compatibility for PS5 that allows you to play your favourite PS4 games libraries, but it is not 100% cleared because they didn't tell exact details about how PS4 games plays and runs on the PS5 consoles and will all the PS4 games libraries work which is concerned me the most because the PS4 had lacked the ability to play any previous generation software (such as PS1, PS2, and PS3) due to complex hardware architecture had struggled to run the older playstation games, but I was hoping for the PS5 will feature a fully backwards compatible program that all the existing PS4 games can work normally on the system.
I also wanted the PS5 console to support the region free imports that allow you to play all US and Japanese games which is a huge benefit to all video game collectors that loves collecting games that are exclusively released in one country.
I was hoping the actual price will be confirmed pretty soon because I was expecting the system cost around £499 which is my personal guess, but we don't know for sure because it might be just as expensive as the PS3 price launch in 2006, so these are the 3 important things that I wanted to share my concern before ordering the new Playstation console at launch release.

So far, I believe SONY had done better than what Microsoft already presented on their livestream called Inside Xbox last month which is nowhere near as good as SONY's live reveal because it lacks many variation of presentation and gameplay footage which is the reason why Microsoft made a false gameplay advertising for Xbox Series X as opposed to SONY's PS5 live event did showed off their games nicely which is the best way to attract more attention to hardcore gaming fans.
I'm very glad that it has the number of AAA games to look forward and the console looks pretty amazing the way it designed for the new system, so hopefully SONY will able to succeed their next console wars in 2020.
