Time Crisis: Razing Storm is a shoot em ups games for PS3 only, Developed by Nex Entertainment and published by Namco Bandai Games.
This game is the compilation of shoot em ups games, which has 3 games in 1, such as Razing Storm, Time Crisis 4, and Deadstorm Pirates are the consoles ports of various arcade games.
I say that these are the 3 games are quite enjoyable on shoot em ups counterpart, but it did have some major flaws when it's comes with story mode on Razing Storm is due to poor storyplot, forgettable characters, and the gameplay had not focused on shoot em ups style instead they have put first person shooter on story mode, which kinda doesn't fit right to the series. I did enjoy the arcade mode, especially on Time Crisis 4 and Deadstorm Pirates because I prefer the shoot em ups roots for the arcade mode are lot more better than the story mode on Razing Storm. Okay lets do the review on this game, shall we.
Presentation
In Razing Storm, the story takes places in 2030. The character referred as Alpha One and Alpha Two, who works with special forces known as S.C,A.R.S, has the mission in South America to take on terrorist leader Paulo Guerra, who masterminded an attack on USA. In story mode, it wraps up the cliffhanger from the arcade mode, which extending more storyplot and cutscenes to reveled the Guerra's plans.
In Time Crisis 4, the game takes places in California, USA. The VSSE agents Giorgio and Evans has the mission to stop the weapons trades from terrorists group with the help of Captain Rush has the same mission as these two guys.
In Deadstorm Pirates, the game takes place in Pirates times. The groups of Pirates attempting to find Poseidon's Breath, a massive treasure with full of valuable items.
I say the story mode has really bad story development because of the boring plot with lack of interesting story details, which felt sounds like a bad Michael Bay's movies and the characters in the game seems doesn't feel much appealing compared with previous games like Time Crisis 4.
Time Crisis 4 and Deadstorm Pirates has an okay story and average characters in the arcade mode, but it may be not good as the previous Time Crisis games.
Overall, they could have done better job for story mode on Razing Storm, but at least the other two of the game with presentation isn't that bad at all.
Gameplay
For Razing Storm, the story mode is the first person shooter, unlike the shoot em up style on arcade mode.
I say the gameplay for story mode played mediocre compared with arcade mode is because of the clunky combat mechanics feels quite cheap and generic for the weapons is due to bad shooting detection. The controls is just feels outdated with the lack of variations controls, such as having no jump and crouch button in the game.
You could also use zoom in/out features with sniper rifle, lock on enemies by pressing the auto lock button, throwing grenades, melee attack, reloading, running and moving crosshairs with d-pad or using PS Move pointer are just simple, but I say cover mechanics are rather poorly compared to arcade mode because you have to tilt up your PS3 controller or PS Move upwards instead of holding the button.
The arcade mode are slightly lot better with shoot em ups style is because it's sticks with same arcade roots as the arcade version. The PS Move takes advantage of having precised crosshair movements, better cover mechanics by holding the middle button, and it is easier to point and shoot at the enemies in right targeting makes the gameplay more playable than having the FPS counterparts for the story mode.
For Time Crisis 4, I say the arcade mode are lot more fun is because it has exciting mission levels with more enemies and some bosses to shoot with, which keeps the atmosphere ongoing. It has easier cover mechanics by holding the middle button, and 4 weapons to select while on cover mode.
For Deadstorm Pirates, the game controls felt too easy is because you only have shoot button, which lacks of having cover mechanics and reloading, but that's okay. You can make your weapons powerful by having two crosshairs stick together when playing 2 player mode, which is sounds cool, but I say that the quick time event are quite difficult in the game.
Overall, it is average at the best is because the arcade mode are the only best part on Razing Storm, except the story mode is the huge let down. I also enjoyed the other two games are quite fun to play.
Graphics
The graphics looks kinda decent on cutscenes with nice visuals and good looking animation, but during in the game, the whole level design and overall environment look completely outdated is because it doesn't have enough variety of details like backgrounds, textures, and colors.
The characters model seems look okay, but not that perfect is because it could have least done better job in the game.
Overall, it's not that bad, but it needs to have a better graphics environment than this.
Music and Sounds
I say the overall soundtrack are awesome is because the intro and outro cutscenes of Razing Storm has the cool songs by Heavy Metal bands "Five Finger Death Punch" are definitely thumbs up, while the rest of the original video game soundtrack in the game are sounds quite decent, especially on other games like Time Crisis 4 and Deadstorm Pirates.
The sound effects are brilliant that you can hear a loud boom effects and great atmosphere sounds of this game are sounds perfect with sound systems equipments.
I say the voice acting are terrible is because it sounds quite cheesy and bland that didn't fit right for most of the characters.
Overall, it did have decent soundtrack and brilliant sound effects, but the voice acting are sounds pretty bad for characters.

Final Verdict
Here are the game overall.
Presentation 5/10 - Poor storyplot and boring characters on Razing Storm, but at least the other two games are done okay.
Gameplay 6.7/10 - Gameplay are somewhat quite average is because the arcade mode on Razing Storm have done more better job than the story mode has really mediocre FPS gameplay overall. Time Crisis 4 has decent gameplay and better level atmosphere, while the Deadstorm pirates are did an okay job too.
Graphics 6/10 - Graphics are okay with visuals and animation, but the level design, overall enviroment, and characters in the game could have been done better job than this.
Music and Sounds 7/10 - It has awesome music and brilliant sound effects, but the voice acting sounds pretty bad.
Special Features 7/10 - It has unlockable stuff, online rankings, trophies achievements, and 3 games in one.
Overall 6.5/10 - Time Crisis: Razing Storm are still enjoyable shoot em ups game because I've enjoyed the good arcade mode are still quite fun to play that showing the advantages of using the PS Move, but I say having the FPS gameplay on the story mode are quite disappointing, which it could have been played better with the same roots as the arcade mode instead of having FPS does not fit right to the classic shoot em ups series. I'm glad that these two games like Time Crisis 4 and Deadstorm Pirates are included on the collection.
If you're the fan of the arcade shoot em ups games then make sure you buy this game in cheaper price, but if you like to try the story mode to focus on storyplot and FPS gameplay then try renting the game from the online store or ask your friends to borrow their game.
My second opinion is that I'm the fan of the shoot em ups games and I'm glad that I did like this game for just shoot em ups gameplay.
