Back in 90's, I've played some of the classy 3D fighting games, like Virtua Fighter and Dead of Alive are the prime example of being the most revolutionized fighting games that uses the environmental 3D engines, but when Namco brought their own fighting games for the arcade cabinet and the home consoles, the first Tekken game takes the cake that had become so popular on fifth generations consoles era. With the success of first Tekken game, it was later for sequel came out in 1996 and it's plays better than the predecessor with better gameplay controls, unique combos, techniques styles and being realistic 3D fighting games. In 1998, they brought Tekken 3 on PS1 and it blows our mind that defines the 3D fighting games genre. It has more character rosters, improved gameplay, better graphics, and mini games. It's one of the best fighting games ever on home consoles. I've never played TT1, 4, 5 and 6. Until I've got Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for PS3.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is the 3D fighting games for PS3, X360 and Wii U, which both developed and published by Bandai Namco Games. It is sequel to original Tekken Tag Tournament for PS2.
It has over 40 playable rosters, New stages, Character costumes, Downloadable DLC content, Online battle, Fight lab, Tekken Tunes, and 3D stereoscopic.
While the Wii U has their own exclusive content, like characters costumes based on Nintendo franchises, power up items and exclusive mini games called "Tekken Ball" as touch based games.
This game features with arcade mode, practice mode, tutorial mode, VS mode with single or tag match, ghost mode, time attack mode, and survival mode.
The gameplay plays very good with new move sets and stylish techinques is just to keep the gameplay balanced as possible. The controls handle do good for combos moves is responding very well for character's movements. I like the tag attacks, which you and your partner can both attack with grappling moves or some assistant moves as well. You can switch your characters during the gameplay, when your character has lower health, so it's very good for your teammate to keep them safe without losing your character's health.
Your characters can able to run forward, as well you can perform the running attack and using the sidestep to move around the levels is good for avoiding the enemies attack.
You can check the command list to learn the character's moves, which guarantees for you to learn the moves.
I've enjoyed the arcade mode, time attack mode, survival mode and online battle is really fun to play because it's very challenging and it's keeps me playing more and more on this game.
I say I finding fight lab is quite little too hard for tutorial purposes, which took me ages to finished the each chapter, but you can able to tune up a new moves for the character, like Combot is the only upgradable fighting roster in the fight lab, which is good thing.
The graphics looks pretty amazing with detailed characters, decent visuals, great level environment, and the fantastic look of animation with 60fps and smooth looking textures, which Namco are doing fantastic job on the console version to keep the game look refreshing and smart.
The music and sound kinda has mixed bag for the music in the game. Sometimes it does comes with some decent techno music and some of them has ridiculous modern dance music style, which aren't sounds good as the other music from previous Tekken games, but you can also change music from Tekken tunes options, which lets you select any music from older Tekken games, when you brought the music pack from PS Store, but if you don't want to buy music pack from PS Store, instead you can also use custom MP3 music to play your own type of music or you can include some previous music from older Tekken games, which sounds lot better than the original TTT2 music. Thank god for custom mp3. The sound effects is quite good for atmosphere and some background noise. It is sounds perfect for using surround sound equipment to keep yourself entertained and enjoying the game.
The special features has Downloadable content for music and other movies, unlockable ending movies, tekken tune and character costumes.

It has good sound effects for atmosphere and some background noise.
Special Features 8/10 - It has downloadable content for music and other movies, unlockable ending movies, tekken tune and character costumes.
Overall 7.5/10 - Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is pretty good fighting game for modern consoles, but it wasn't just good as the Tekken 3 masterpiece, but it's still definitely worth playing the game for PS3 and X360.
Namco did a good job on this game and I'm sure they will make another Tekken Tag Tournament game soon, if they would like to make another sequel to this. To all fighting games fans, you should try getting the game. If you like to have some exclusive features from the Nintendo franchises, then get the Wii U version.
