Dishonored PS3 Reviews

Dishonored is the stealth action FPS game for PS3, X360 and PC, which developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. This game gained positive review by critics, which praising the quality of gameplay mechanics, game visuals and design, and story development to keep the game worth playing.
It receives some awards winning and nominations by calling it most original and best game of 2012.
It is often compared to Thief series and Assassin's Creed series that inspired this game with definitive gameplay, amazing single player campaign, and superb sounds, which really amazed me to enjoy this game.
The story takes place in late 1800's and early 1900's. The story is about Corvo Attano, who used to be empress bodyguard, have been blamed by several solders for murdering empress and Emily's abduction, which is later becoming assassin, after he manage to escape from prison cell, with the help of Samuel have taken him to Hounds Pit Clubs to meet the loyalists named Admiral Havelock giving him a mission to investigating and assassinate on Dawd groups to avenge empress death and rescuing Emily, who already been kidnapped by Dawd's groups.
The story in the game somewhat decent, but not the best storytelling by far. The dialogue are seems to be sounds good on character's plot, but some plot points and narrative are not quite enough to expand more details. I say the characters in the game are quite average at the best. I like the concept of the main character that kinda look like Terminator dressing up as Assassins may looked badass and so with the Dawd's assassins are awesome too. Some others character in the game seems to be not memorable so far, but it is still ok'ay characters. The gameplay plays very well done with excellent controls, stealth combat and some decent weapons to keep the game much entertaining to play. The character's movements feels very smooth and easy to move around. The stealth combat is pretty good for sneaking in the level, without getting caught by enemies seeing you. You can also strangle them to death or assassinate them with knife, when you're near back at the enemy, but you can collect items and weapons by looting on enemies and you can also carry the enemy up and leave somewhere on different rooms without any enemies notices. You can distract them by throwing the objects in different areas that the enemies can notice the sounds, but didn't noticing you, which is quite handy for stealth gameplay. The sword combat is great for fighting with bad guys by using sword and you can perform finishing moves by pressing the button, when the action icon is appearing on screen. You can also block the enemy's attack by pressing the block button to avoid getting slashed by enemy's hits. You can select any weapons on the weapons menu, such as pistols, bowguns and grenades are quite useful for combat gameplay. Your characters have abillites to use special powers, such as blink that you can teleport at the different spot in the levels. Possession are good for mind controlling on enemies and animals. Dark Visions are useful for using the vision behind the wall to see enemy's whereabouts. Devouring Swarm sounds awesome, when using to swarms the rats on enemies getting eaten alive. Bend Time are actually great for slowing the enemies down and Windblasts can blast the enemies way are awesome as hell. I like the enhancements that can improve the character's abillites such as Vitality gives health increase, Agility gives double jump and running speed, Blood Thirsty to kill enemies with adrealine and Shadow Kill to fade the enemies away are sounds quite cool. You can upgrade the abillites by collecting runes can be found on different area, while equipping heart devices tells you where the runes whereabout. The weapons can be upgraded from the shop, which allowing to improve the weapons performances. I say the gameplay is somewhat very creative and clever to make the game more epic and fun to play.
The graphics is still amazing for character's design, decent visuals, great animation and some special effects are done so good for seventh generations consoles.
The Music and Sounds has fantastic original score, excellent sound work, great sound atmosphere and decent voice cast on characters, which makes the perfect job for quality of the sounds.
The special features only has 4 DLC pack, but there's nothing more unlockable stuff here.

5 Reasons why Retro Gaming are awesome

Ahhh, good old golden age gaming that brings me a greatest experience in gaming. We have 8 bit era, 16 bit era, 32 bit era and so on. There are some reason to love retros because of the quality of the games library, memorable video game mascots, and the best consoles out there that saves the gaming generations.
So I have learnt everything about the gaming in olden days that I've grew up becoming a true gamer that loves playing video games. I've played lot of 2D and 3D platforming games, FPS Games, RPG Games, Fighting Games, Sports Games and etc. So here is a 5 reasons why Retro Gaming are awesome.

1. Best video games franchises of all time

There are so many games out there back in 80's and 90's. We have tons of great games that really got hardcore gamer's attention, like Super Mario, Metal Gear Solid, Doom, Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, Mortal Kombat, Megaman, Donkey Kong, Tomb Raider and so many franchises that brought us a fantastic time on video games. We grew up remembering our childhood that we playing such an wonderful games on good old PC's and Consoles.

2. Best consoles of all times

In 80's, NES and SEGA Master System are the best consoles on 8 bit era, due to higher color graphics, cart's limitations, hardware systems and straight forward controller with precised gameplay. Nintendo and SEGA are the only two competitors can able to dominate the gaming marketing, but they also later developed a handheld console, like Game Boy and Game Gear are similar with 8 bit home consoles, but it's good for public use with some decent games. In 90's, 16 bit era have started with SEGA Genesis, Super Nintendo and Turbografx 16 are the three home consoles to complete with. SEGA Genesis has best arcade ports games, great sound engines and great looking design on consoles. Super Nintendo is one of my favorite consoles ever made, due to precised controller, better graphics, excellent games library and hardware limitations can able to fit some games because depends what SNES is capable of using the special chip on game cartridge to make it look amazing on wonderful games.
Turbografx 16 are quite decent for games, controller and sound engine, but failed to beat with their competitors SNES and SEGA Genesis are dominating 16 bit market. The 32 bit era have started with SONY Playstation and SEGA Saturn are the only 32 bit consoles, while Nintendo 64 is a 64 bit consoles are aiming to complete with their competitors SONY and SEGA. I've used to have Saturn long time ago because it has some of the good games and decent controller, but my brother decided to swap it with Nintendo 64 are still fantastic consoles with great games, superb graphics and decent controller. I say SONY Playstation is the best for 3D technology, awesome exclusive games, higher quality CD audios, decent FMV for some games and the dualshock controller are the best controller ever made in fifth generations consoles. In sixth generation consoles, I have SEGA Dreamcast because it has the best games library of all times, cool gaming peripherals and online gameplay, but it became short lived, due to marketing problems with SEGA forcing themselves to discontinue the console in 2001. In 2002, I like Nintendo Gamecube because it has awesome exclusive games and good controller, but it's not just good as the Nintendo 64 and SNES, but still an good console. Microsoft Xbox are the first Microsoft console ever release in 2001. It has best looking graphics, great online services for mulitiplayer and great hardware limitations are the most powerful consoles on sixth generations. SONY Playstation 2 are also a good console that lasted very long, due to higher marketing are becoming best selling consoles so far. There's tons of great games out there and it does plays DVD just like original Xbox has one. I also like Game Boy Advance are quite like the SNES, but runs 32 bit engine are quite amazing for graphics and sound quality. So these are the history of video game consoles that we all learn to be a console collector.

3. Reading Game Magazines

I love reading video game magazines. It gives us a knowledge about the latest games release, previews, reviews and it comes with goodies, like calendar, posters, stickers and cheat guidebook. I had the magazines for long time that gives me a lot of nostalgic memories about the gaming. It has the badass looking cover on the magazines because it has colorful cover and well detailed design on front cover with awesome slogan, pics and so many details about the latest gaming news. Damn, I missed the good old magazines like Game Master and CVG in 90's are my childhood favorite critics.

4. Best Game Developers of all times

Ah yeah, there are some brilliant developers out there in old days. I grew up with Nintendo as my favorite developers behind Mario and Zelda series. Rareware made an excellent games like Donkey Kong Country, Goldeneye 64, Killer Instinct and Conker Bad Fur Day are the nostalgia games on Nintendo era, but it became downhill with Microsoft era that I'm very disappointed these days. Konami did a good job on games like Castlevania, gradius and Metal Gear series. Capcom did for Street Fighter and Resident Evil series which got me attention to play. SEGA made Sonic, Jet Set Radio, Nights and one of my far favourite of all time is Shenmue series that I'm the fan of the series since Dreamcast era. Id Software made the mighty FPS games like Wolfenstein 3D as the grandfather of Doom and Quake series that defines the FPS genre.
These are the companies that I've like on classic era, who brought us a fantastic games that we all can enjoy and it is all thanks to game developers making all gamers happy as possible to keep us up playing video games.

5. Local Mulitiplayer

I like coming to my friends and family houses to play video games with 2-4 players. I remember playing Goldeneye 64 with my brother lot of times on 2 player battle and I always got lost everytime, when I was a kid started to scream and cry, but still an good times. I come over to my cousin's house and playing Timesplitters 2, Super Smash Bros Melee and Wario Ware Inc on Gamecube. Oh I almost forgot about playing Alien Storm, Street of Rage and Micro Machines for SEGA Genesis, and Quake 3 Arena, Soul Calibur and Chu Chu Rocket on SEGA Dreamcast that we playing all the times with good experiences.
It's better than playing on online, which sometimes the internet goes down and began to shut off the mulitiplayer battles is quite of headache to restart the match over again. This is why playing mulitiplayer on local way is the only best options to get your friends and family to join you and play the game for fun with no issues at all.

Midway games is an awesome video game companies in 80's to 2000's. They are big known for vintage arcade games and pinball machines that created their legacy. We have fighting games, shooting games, sports games and many of the game genres that Midway made really great games on arcade cabinet and console gaming back in the old days. Too bad Midway have been shut down since 2009, due to chapter 11 bankruptcy, but we all always remember this company brought us a brilliant games on gaming generations.

5 - Sinistar

Sinistar is the vertical scroll shooter games, developed by Williams Electronics. It's very known for big nemesis himself Sinistar is a big spacecraft villains that is been built by enemies worker ships. It has a cool catchphrases in entire games, like he says "Beware I live", "Beware coward", "I hunger", "Run Run Run", "I am Sinistar" and his badass roaring chant, what makes Sinistar an awesome villain in video game. So you are playing as the spaceship has the mission to defeat Sinistar by using Sinibombs that can be found on asteroids rock. I've enjoyed playing this game, when I've played it on SNES version as part of the William's Arcade Greatest Hits, because I like gaining the high scores and moving on the next challenge what makes the game more interesting. If you're a fan of the scroll shooter games like this, then you should pick up for the console versions.

4 - Defender

This game is the golden age of 80's gaming. Defender is a top notch horizontal scroll shooter is also developed by Williams Electronics. What I like about the game is where you just shoot the crap of the alien's ship to save the humans in the planet. You can gain more high scores and moving on next wave to make the game more challenged and fun to play.
It has brilliant graphics with excellent 2D colorful effects and it has the best sounds atmosphere in gaming history. It is very addicting to play, which took us to play more than the hours on console version. If you wanted to play this, then grab the game for console version.

3 - Midway Sports Games

I love playing arcade sports games. Midway really knows how to make a fantastic sport games brought on home consoles. It has a tons of choices to play, like Arch Rivals, NBA Jam, NBA on NBC Showtime, NFL Blitz 2000 and 01, and NHL Hitz 2002 are the best of all in the sports games genres. Instead of making a game look realistic, we all need a fun packed sports games that plays like a real arcade games, which makes the game more entertaining to play. I've played the Midway sports games lot of time since I've first started played NBA on NBC Showtime for SEGA Dreamcast and NHL Hitz 2002 on Nintendo Gamecube are really makes me wanna play more and more. If you're into the sports games, then you should try them on home consoles.

2 - Smash TV

Oh yeah, Smash TV is the Running Man of top down shooter games. You're playing as two badass contestants has the mission to survive through deadliest game show arena and win the prizes, yeah that's what game is about. This game is so much fun on the arcade with twin joystick, where you can shoot on any direction makes the controls so precised and balanced. You just shoot tons of bad guys with cool power ups, and collecting money and prizes from bonus level. The game is later coming out on home consoles and many fans and critics believe that the SNES version is the best ported game on the system, due to SNES controls layout are far similar methods as the arcade twin joystick. So if you like mulitidirectional shooter, then go pick this game for SNES.

1 - Mortal Kombat

MORTAL KOMBAT!!! is the bloodiest fighting games on the series. The arcade version was released in 1992 and gained many more attention to fighting games fans alike. While the game have becoming popular on the arcade version, the game is later ported to the home consoles, like SNES and SEGA Genesis. Many gamers said that SEGA Genesis are the only one of the decent arcade to console conversions, due to featuring blood content and more fatalities than the SNES version. This game features a memorable characters, like Kano, Liu Kang, Raiden, Johnny Cage, Scorpion, Sub Zero and Sonya Blade are taking part in the bloodiest tournament. It is famous for having digitized characters and bloody graphics while performing fatalities moves are also becoming the most controversial video game of the decides. So if you like the goriest games like this game, then you should go pick up for SEGA Genesis version or PSN and XBLA version as the part of the Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection.
