Sonic Generations 3DS Review

This is my first 3DS review that I'm going to make on my blog. Here is Sonic Generations on 3DS developed by Dimps and published by SEGA. It receives a mixed review from critics compared to console version receives positive score than the 3DS version, due to 3DS hardware had difficult to manage a 3D stages, unlike the console version. So lets review this game, shall we.
The story begins in past, Classic Sonic began to exploring the green hill zone, before the time eater appears to erasing the whole area. Meanwhile in the present, Modern Sonic celebrates his birthdays with his friends, before the time eater came to destroy his party and suck everyone into the time portal. Modern Sonic is now stuck in the white spaces until he meets Classic Sonic is here to help him to save his timeline from preventing changes the past times. This version is quite different from the console version. It has 7 stages to complete, 7 bosses to beat and 7 chaos emeralds to collect. The gameplay is simple, all you have to do is run and jump in each stages. It only has 2D stages for the 3DS, while console version has both 2D and 3D stages, depending what character you playing as. The controls played very good for the characters. Classic Sonic does a same movement as the Genesis era like Sonic 1, 2 and 3. Modern Sonic has a similar thing as the DS game like Sonic Rush that he can perform boost that Sonic can run faster and he can do homing attack as well. The each of the stages are quite fun with good challenge and fun boss fights from the previous to current Sonic games but it can be little frustrating in some of the level  is kinda be tricky sometimes until you will get used to platform games.
The graphics are not that bad ether, when turning on the 3D screen. It has decent level design, smooth textures, good background, nice characters models and some ok'ay visuals but unfortunately the game can't handle the 3D perspective on 3DS which is shame that the 3D stages of Modern Sonic is not on the 3DS hardware, due to limitations of hardware specs or cartridge spaces, even the cutscenes only has story text instead of having a CGI cutscenes from console version. I say graphics don't matter the most important thing. whats makes the good Sonic's game is the gameplay that is the most important aspect of video games.
The music and sound are pretty awesome. It has a great musics track from Sonic's games, cool sound effect and few ok'ay voice over.
The special features comes with 2 player local and online, mission mode, time attack mode and unlockable collection are featured on this game has plenty the good choices to have it.

Advantages

Very good gameplay.

Awesome stage levels.

Cool boss fights.

Great musics and sounds.

Good storyplot and characters.

Disadvantages

3DS version lacks of 3D perspective for modern Sonic stages, unlike the consoles version has both 2D and 3D perspective for Modern Sonic stages respectfully.

3DS version only has story text, unlike the console version has proper CGI cutscenes video.

Levels can be tricky and hard sometimes.

Final Verdict

Is this game good as the console version, let see?

Gameplay 8/10 - Very good controls, great characters abilities and very unique levels.

Graphics 6.5/10 - Decent level design, smooth textures, good background, nice characters model and some okay visuals but lacks 3D perspective and CGI cutscenes on 3DS version.

Music and Sounds 8/10 -  Great music, cool sound effect and few ok'ay voice overs.

Special Features 8/10 - 2 player local and online, mission mode, time attack mode and unlockable collection.

Overall 7.5/10 - I say it's a fun platform game for everyone to enjoy on 3DS. It's highly recommended to SEGA fans who only own the 3DS is worth to buy it. If you already have a PS3 or X360, get console version instead. So I'll maybe try getting the game for PS3, if I can manage to get it soon.
