Top 5 Capcom Franchises

Capcom is damn awesome, so damn awesome. As you know that Capcom made lot of a cool games around and I remember lot of childhood memories that I remember playing some of the classics games in old times.
We have Fighting games, Horror games, Shooting games and so on. Here is my favourite top 5 Capcom franchises that I liked.


5 - Strider Series

In the 90's, there is a coolest ninja games that came out on the arcade such as Strider 1 which became the greatest hack n slash arcade games you ever seen, just before it came out on SEGA Genesis had became a perfect port from the arcade version. Back in 2000's, there's Strider 2 on arcade and later ported to PS1 which became the best sequel in the series. Strider Hiryu is kick ass ninja with cool hairstyle, awesome mask and his badass katana sword that will slash everyone ass in pieces, hell yeah. It has epic levels with good challenge, good atmosphere with awesome action and has a great boss fights too.
Whats cool about Strider Hiryu that he is also the fighting roster of Marvel vs Capcom series which is great choice for Capcom fans wants him on the fighting games series. I can't wait to see a new Strider game will be release by next year.



4 - Final Fight Series

Final Fight is the one of the best beat em ups of all time. The first game is fun to play on the arcade or SEGA CD version, you're playing as 3 awesome characters like Mike Haggar, Guy and Cody is here to rescue Jessica from Mad Gear Gangs. It does have a memorable villains like Sodom, Damnd, Axl, Slash, Andre, Diamond, Roxy and Poison are the best enemies in the series. It has great gameplay with good fighting styles, 6 fun stages, weapon pick ups and collect items, and awesome boss fights. The first bonus stages is fun too, you just go and wrack the shit out of the car just like we did on Street Fighter 2. While the original game is enjoyable, there is a follow up sequel for SNES such as Final Fight 2 and 3 which mean't to be improved over SNES version of first original game but the sequel is a decent beat em ups game. Too bad Capcom made a 2 horrible games like Final Fight Revenge and Final Fight Streetwise which became the worst on the series but the Final Fight series is still my first favourite beat em ups games and forth favourites Capcom Franchises.



3 - Megaman Series

Megaman is a cool video game character that his job is to save his world from evil scientist Dr.Wily. It has a great Megaman games on NES like Megaman 1,2,3 and so on. I also like Megaman X series for SNES. It has a great 2D levels with such of big challenge, the power ups are cool for main character himself and it has a great classic boss characters like Cut Man, Flash Man, Guts Man, Fire Man, and Elec Man.
While Megaman series became a class game, it has more Megaman series to enjoy like Megaman Legends, Megaman Zero and spin off series but where the hell happened to Megaman Universe and Megaman Legends 3?. He also appeared to fighting games like Marvel vs Capcom, Street Fighter X Tekken and hopefully New Super Smash Bros for the future release. If you're familiar with run n gun games, you should play with awesome blue guy like him.




2 - Capcom Fighting Games Series

I love playing Capcom Fighting Games. I started to play Street Fighter 2 on good old arcade in 90's.
It has memorable fighting characters like Ryu, Ken, Chun Li, Blanka, Guile, Zangief, Dalasim, Vega, Balrog, Sagat and M.Bison. The fighting moves are excellent like Hadouken, Sonic Boom, Spinning Bird Kick, Yoga Fire and Tiger Uppercut are the best moves in history. The stages are cool, music is sounds kick ass and I love bonus stage where you wreck the car, wall brick and drum can. This is why I love Street Fighter 2. With the success of Street Fighter 2 had became so popular in 90's among with video games fans, Capcom decided to make their crossover fighting series like X-Men vs Street Fighter which you can play as X-Men characters take on Street Fighter characters which I like the ideas by Capcom. I'm a fan of Marvel vs Capcom series which I like to play as both Marvel roster and Capcom roster teaming up together which is damn cool. I've played Capcom vs SNK which has SNK characters from King of fighters series takes on Capcom roster which is also good too. I say Street Fighter X Tekken is decent fighting games with Street Fighter and Tekken roster which is nice concept. I praise the each of the crossover game for gameplay controls which you can make a really good combo moves, special moves and great characters abilities.
If you like fighting games, these games are highly recommended for you to enjoy the fighting game experiences.



1 - Resident Evil Series

This is my favourite Capcom franchise of all time and it's the most epic horror games in history.
It has a fantastic games like Resident Evil 1,2 and 3 for PS1, Code:Veronica for Dreamcast, Resident Evil Zero for GC and finally my favourite of all time is Resident Evil 4 for GC are the best third person shooter game ever created. It has really great storyplot with deadly cutscenes and horrific atmosphere. The characters are awesome like Leon, Chris, Jill, and others are quite interesting. I also like bosses like Tyrant, Nemesis, William as Monster with one eye on left arm, Alexia as flying insects and my favourite villains in the game is Albert Wesker. It has a really good gameplay with creepy levels, puzzle solving, survival weapons to shoot zombies, collecting items and has epic boss battle. If you're like playing games that you want to shoot the crap of zombies and monsters to defend yourself in survival campaign, these games are definitely worth entertaining for you to play.    

Top 5 Konami Franchises

Ahh yes, Konami is a awesome game developers since 1980's to modern year. It has a best franchise that Konami made such a brilliant games around and considers to be a class on gaming of all time. We have sports games, shooting games, platform games, horror games, RPG games and action games that everyone loves it. Here is my top 5 favourite Konami franchise that I've enjoyed it so far and why I like it.

5 - Pro Evolution Soccer and ISS series

Two of the best football game series that Konami made an awesome football games here. 

International Superstar Soccer are really good on SNES and so with the ISS 98 are the best football game on N64. Konami made another awesome football series called Pro Evolution Soccer which I played PES 08 on Wii and PES 09 on PS3. It features a more football player, more football teams, more cup match, more realistic gameplay, more crowd atmosphere, more faster player abilities and more stadium which makes the game look fun to play with. If you're a fan of sports games, you should try these games out.   

4 - Gradius Series

Gradius are the greatest horizontal scroll shooters you ever seen. Gradius on NES are awesome, Gradius 2 on the arcade are good game, Gradius 3 is a superb arcade port on SNES and then Gradius Gaiden on PS1 became the best on the series that never came outside of Japan until this game came worldwide release in 2006 as the part of Gradius collection for PSP. These games are awesome that has coolest spaceship called Vic Viper has the great abilities of power ups which helps the strength of the spaceship such as speed, weapons and other options which makes the gameplay more accurate and played better. It has unique levels with challenging boss levels and great soundtrack on each game. It's perfect for any gamers who are familiar with scroll shooter games, you give it go with this.

3 - Contra Series

Ahh yes, thats what I called a manly games. Contra is the one of the fast-paced run and gun game that gamers should enjoy shooting the crap of the bad guys. The original NES is cool but it's damn hard and I like the Super Contra too. Contra 3 is really epic on SNES, Contra: Hard corps on Genesis is still kick ass and then Contra 4 is also very good on DS but never got released to Europe. These games has a fantastic levels, badass characters, kick ass music and wicked gameplay with awesome power ups. The cool thing about the original game on NES is the Konami code that gives you a 30 lives which is damn cool way to pass through levels. So what are you waiting for?, just play these games that gonna blows your mind.

2 - Castlevania Series

I love the good old Castlevania series. It's the darkest horror adventures that Konami made such a superb game like Castlevania on NES, Super Castlevania 4 on SNES, Castlevania: Bloodline on Genesis, Castlevania: Rondo of Blood on TG16-CD, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night on PS1 and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow on PS3 are the best games out there. It has really outstanding levels with creepy atmosphere, deadly enemies, horrific bosses and it has the best music in each games. It has the greatest video game characters like Simon Belmont who came at the castle to whip the enemies in pieces is total badass. I also like the greatest villains in the series like Dracula which became the most epic boss fights you ever seen. If you like darkest adventure games, you should turn your light off and turn your game on and enjoy.   

1 - Metal Gear Solid Series

    

This is the biggest Konami's legacy of all time is Metal Gear Solid series that defines the stealth action genre. MGS 1 is the most epic action game on PS1, MGS 2 and MGS 3 are the excellent games which I have it as HD collection on PS3, and finally MGS 4 on PS3 is the masterpiece that Konami made the best games series on their franchises. It has a memorable character like Solid Snake is the best video game heroes in history. This series is best known for cinematic cutscenes with fantastic storyplot, outstanding gameplay with excellent stealth combat and weapons, great soundtrack, and has the best boss fights in whole Metal Gear Solid games. I highly recommended to all hardcore gamers who never been played these games should give a try because this is must play games. 

Metroid: Other M Wii Review

Before I review this game, let me talk about the history of Metroid series.

History of Metroid series

In 1986, Nintendo made a 2D adventure shooter called Metroid on NES. It is the classic adventure with darker levels, awesome boss fights and unique puzzle solving which makes the game look badass. It became the classy NES game that defines the 8-bit console. In between 1991 and 1992, the sequel called Metroid 2: Return of Samus came out on GB which also became good but it's not just good as the original game on NES. In 1994, the another sequel called Super Metroid came on SNES which became my first favourite SNES games of all time that defines the 16 bit console. It has updated gameplay, more power ups, epic boss fights, newer levels and great atmosphere which makes the best game ever made on SNES. In 2002, another sequel called Metroid Fusion came on GBA. It has unique levels, new power ups, new suit and same style gameplay as Super Metroid for SNES which also became another great game on GBA. Nintendo also bring Metroid Prime on GC was came out in same year as the Metroid Fusion on GBA. The game is set between Metroid on original NES and Metroid 2 on original GB. It is FPS shooter with unique open world gameplay which you can explore a different levels, challenging boss fights, New weapons and New power ups which this game is completely different from classic 2D counterpart. It became a epic FPS shooter on GC and so with the Metroid Prime: 2 Echoes was released in 2004. There is a DS game called Metroid Prime: Hunters In 2006. It receives a positive reviews from critics but it's not just good as the GC counterpart. In 2007, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption came on Wii with the use of Wii remote controls which is different from GC counterpart. It is another good Metroid game for Wii but you can also get a Metroid Prime Trilogy for Wii as the part of the 3 Metroid Prime games collections. I have to may It's my second favourite Nintendo franchises in history and I say Samus Aran is the best female video game characters of all time. In 2010, there is the latest game called Metroid: Other M which came out on Wii. It receives good reviews but some polarising points from critics, due to poor storyplot and some dumbest moments in the game but they just praised the game for gameplay and graphics are quite pretty good. The sales went disappointing that not many gamers wanted to buy the latest Metroid game. So lets start reviewing the game.

Metroid: Other M   

Metroid: Other M is the Action-Adventure game which developed by Team Ninja and published by Nintendo. The story is set between after the events of Super Metoid and before the events of Metroid Fusion. Samus travels along with galactic federation troops to bottle ship and has the mission to investigating the research facility incident. I say storyplot in the game is seems uninteresting compared to previous Metroid games has a better storytelling.

The gameplay has 2 ways to play with the use of Wii remote which you can change between third person perspective and first person perspective. The control scheme is not that bad but it feels little awkward with the Wii remote, it's plays okay on third person perspective which you can run and shoot in any directions which is kinda like top down shooter but it's lack of sideways movement which you can't able to move the characters in sideways which is shame. The good thing about the controls is the dodging moves which you can able to dodge the enemy's bullet which is kinda useful in the game. The first person perspective is decent, you can point and shoot in any directions with plasma beams but it has the lock on target which you can lock on the enemies and shoot it with missile launcher. It has plenty more good weapons like plasma beams, ice beams, wave beams, regular missile launcher, super missile, power bombs and best of all is screwattack. The power ups is awesome, your character can perform the abilities like speedrun, space jump, wall jump and morph ball which is quite cool for some levels. 

The scanning controls are quite feels weird during the scan mode, if you tried to scan the important objects.

I say it's the decent gameplay but it's the shame that they don't include the other controller peripherals like Wii classic controller or Nintendo Gamecube which needed to be included in this game. 

The graphics are pretty nicer with good visuals, good looking animation, decent textures and background which makes the game look detailed.

The music and sounds has very good music, decent sound effect and good voice cast.

The special features has 2 unlockable options such as gallery mode and theatre mode which seems okay but it doesn't have enough unlockable features.

Advantages 

Decent gameplay.

Nice graphics.

Very good music and sounds.

Awesome weapons and power ups.

Cool boss fights.

Disadvantages

Poor storyplot.

Door glitch on sector 3. 

Punishing difficulty. 

Scanning mode.

Final Verdict

Here is my bottom line.

Gameplay 7/10 - Decent controls, awesome weapons and good character's abilities.

Graphics 8/10 - Nicer visuals,  good looking animation, decent textures and background.

Music and sound 8/10 - Very good music, decent sound effects and good voice cast.

Special Features 6/10 - Only has gallery mode and theatre mode.

Overall 7.1/10 - I say it's still the decent game but it's not just good as the previous Metroid games. It a shame that Nintendo didn't do well with the sales. Some of the gamers finding this game disappointment which I do not agree with them, you should give this game deserves a good chance because Team Ninja are trying a best they can do. It's such an underrated Wii games that this game won't get a much attention to hardcore gamers. If you're a real fan of Metroid games, please buy it.

The Last Of Us PS3 Review

The Last Of Us is the Survival horror game created by Naughty Dog who are best known for Jak and Dexter series and Uncharted series. 

As you many gamers know this game has deserved a perfect score from critics and fans claiming this game to be best game ever made in 2013, so I agree to them because that's what the game should defines the PS3, lets get started with this review.

The game focuses on the two survivors named Joel and Ellie are defending themselves in the post-apocalyptic outbreak of USA from hostile humans and cannibalistic creatures were infected by mutated fungus.

The storyplot seems to be very well done with excellent storytelling, characters and cutscenes is what the survival horror is meant to be a perfectly awesome.

This game has single player campaign and 8 player online battle. The gameplay is perfect for most of the survival horror players. The control is very precise for characters movements and camera controls. The combat gameplay is very unique for characters. It can do stealth combat where the player sneak behind the bad guys by strangle them or kill them with knife. The brawl attacks is good for attacking the thugs and infected people with barehands, pipe and woods except the clickers and other type of monsters you won't able to kill them unless you have a melee weapons such as shiv or axe or stick it with actual weapons. The weapons are the survival choice that you can carry all such as pistol, shotgun, rifles and other types of weapons are perfect example for combat gameplay which is useful for range shot and straightforward targeting. You can craft your weapons and items to make such as Molotov cocktails, grenades, smoke bomb, health kit and shiv are very useful for combat gameplay. You can mod your weapons from the different area to improve the weapons performance and you can also upgrades your characters abillites from the select menu. I say the gameplay plays very well done for controls schemes and combat gameplay.

The graphics are really well detailed for characters design, visuals, textures and backgrounds are far best looking animation ever seen.

The music and sounds are totally awesome. The music score sounds epic, sound effects has the atmospheres backgrounds and fantastic voice acting for characters which makes the game sounds really amazing.

The special features has DLC downloads, unlockables stuff like characters skins and concepts arts through galleries. It also have unlockable trophy achievements.

Advantages

Great campaign and online battles.

Overall 10/10 - The Last Of Us is the Naughty Dog's masterpiece, It's the best game ever made on PS3. It's has the most epic adventures, great horror atmosphere and incredible story and action cutscenes. So too all gamers and Sony fans outthere, this is definitely must buy this game because you gonna love playing survival horror games.

Battlefield 3 PS3 Digital Download Review

Battlefield 3 is the action FPS shooter developed by DICE and published by Electronic Arts.
It is third installiment of main series for PS3, X360 and PC which this game was released on 2011.
The story take place in 2014, Sgt Blackburn and his 5 mens squad on mission to find and safety return a US squad investigating a possible IED in iraq, whose last known position was market controlled by a hostile mlitia called PLR. I'm finding the storyplot quite mediocre and the characters are not so memorable but it has a great voice work.
This game has single player campaign, online muiltiplayer and co-ops mission. The gameplay is simple, you just go shoot, stab and throw bombs at the bad guys. The controls are pretty good for characters movements and combat gameplay. You can also edit the controls schemes from options menu to make gameplay more accurate with precise controls. The weapons are pretty straightforward for range shot and has a great targeting assist to make a easier aim when aiming at the enemies on time. You can attack them by using melee attack when the enemy is near close to you which is only good for stealth mission, and you can throw grenades through far distance or nearby. You can ride on vehicles which lets you control the tank to drive and you can shoot it with bazooka or machine gun but the driving controls may be little difficult to turn while driving until you get used with driving controls. I say the gameplay is played great with challenging missions, playable combat, cool co-op and enjoyable online battles.
The graphics are far outstanding with nice texutres and backgrounds, smooth animation and great character model what makes the game look brighter and faster.
The music and sounds are far excellent with kick ass music score, awesome sound effects and great voice work for characters.
The special features comes with unlockable weapons and accessories for online mulitiplayer, trophy achievements, DLC content and custom solder options.


Advantages

Excellent campaign mission.

Enjoyable online battles.

Excellent music and sounds.


Disadvantages

Driving controls can be little difficult.

Mediocre storyplot.

Graphics 9.1/10 - Outstanding performances for nice textures and backgrounds, smooth animation and great characters model.

Special Features 8.1/10 - Unlockable stuff, trophy acheievements, DLC content and Custom solder options.

Overall 8.8/10 - Battlefield 3 is fantastic FPS game. Electronics Arts offers the FPS fans to enjoy their experiences of Battlefield series. I highly recommend all the FPS fans to buy this because you will enjoy the great single player campaign, play with your friends on co-op mission and challenge all players through online battle.
